Calisthenics for Hypertrophy? Is That Even Real?
Look, I get that bodyweight stuff is cool and all, but can we really act like calisthenics is gonna give you the same gains as heavy lifting? I mean, sure, you can build some muscle, but when it comes to hypertrophy, nothing beats the iron. I'm tired of seeing folks say you can get jacked doing pull-ups and push-ups alone. Where's the progressive overload? You really think you're gonna hit your 1RM with a ring dip? What's the deal, am I just grumpy or is this a cope?
