Struggling to maintain protein intake while on Ozempic and lifting, any tips?

TL;DR: On Ozempic, struggling to hit protein targets while lifting. Looking for tips.

I've been on Ozempic for a few months now and it's really helping with my appetite, but I'm struggling to hit my protein targets while maintaining my lifting routine. I usually aim for around 180g of protein a day, but some days it's just hard to get that much in. I'm focusing on quality protein sources like chicken, fish, and Greek yogurt, but the lower appetite makes it tough. Any strategies or suggestions for maximizing protein intake without feeling stuffed? Would love to hear how others have managed this balance while still hitting their lifting goals.

Protein is so crucial for recovery, especially when lifting. Make sure you're not underestimating those small snacks. A handful of nuts or a protein bar can really help add up without feeling like a meal

As a mom, I sometimes have to get creative. I make protein muffins that are great for on-the-go! They're packed with oats and protein powder, so I can grab one while chasing my kids. It's a lifesaver

Based! Just eat a little bit more of your fave proteins. Life's too short to stress over numbers when you can enjoy your meals. Carbs are also your friend, so don't shy away!

Lol, this struggle is real. I once tried to drink my protein instead of eating it and ended up feeling like a human milkshake. Gotta find what works for u, I guess.

I totally get where you're coming from! I often make a protein-packed egg scramble for breakfast. Just take a few eggs, toss in some spinach and feta, and you can hit 30g easily without feeling stuffed. Plus, it's delicious!

Honestly, if you're not tracking, you're probably missing out on easy wins. Try Cronometer if MyFitnessPal isn't your jam. i find it gives a great breakdown of micros and helps plan better.

Nah, man. Just lift and eat what feels right. Don't complicate it with apps. Listen to your body more than anything. It's all about what works for you.

I feel this. I used to stress about hitting my protein numbers, but I found that sometimes less is more. Just focus on lifting and not obsessing over every gram. It's about balance, ya know?

Have you tried protein shakes? They can be a good way to get your protein without feeling too full. I usually do one post-workout and it really helps me hit my numbers

I get that, low appetite can be a real struggle. Try adding some higher-calorie protein sources, like lean ground beef or a protein-rich smoothie with oats and nut butter. Just make sure you're not skipping meals.

Bro, you might just need to experiment a bit. Try mixing up your meal timing too. Like, instead of forcing a big dinner, maybe have smaller protein-rich snacks throughout the day. Just a thought.

When I was cutting, I faced similar issues. I tracked my intake using MyFitnessPal, and it helped me see where I could add more protein without piling on too much food. It's amazing how a few adjustments can add up.

Just keep it fun! I love to mix my protein sources. Like, I'll throw some protein powder in my overnight oats or make protein pancakes on the weekends. Variety helps with the appetite.

Pro tip: if you're struggling, just blend some Greek yogurt into a smoothie with fruit! You won't even taste it, but you'll get a solid boost of protein. Works like a charm

Yo, have you thought about using a protein supplement? I'm all about whey, but plant-based ones are solid too. Just keep it simple and tasty, you know? Keeps me on track.
