Feeling conflicted about my journey from 175 to 142 in 11 months, anyone else experience this?

TL;DR: Lost 33 pounds in 11 months but feeling conflicted about the emotional side of my journey.

i've spent the last 11 months on a transformative journey, moving from 175 pounds to 142 pounds. While I see the physical changes and am grateful for the progress, I often feel a mix of emotions. The scale number seems to overshadow my efforts in practicing mindfulness and balance in my daily life. I remind myself that this journey is not just about weight loss but about embracing my body and nurturing my spirit. Have others felt this conflict between physical progress and emotional well-being? How do you find balance in your journey?

A balanced diet is crucial for overall wellness. I'd recommend focusing on fiber-rich foods; they help with satiety and emotional well-being. Don't stress too much about the number, what you eat plays a massive role in how you feel mentally too!

Honestly, I think a lot of people get caught up in the number game, and that's just toxic. Instead of obsessing over the scale, try finding workouts you love! HIIT is my jam, and it makes me feel alive instead of focusing on weight. You gotta enjoy the process.

I can relate so much to what you're feeling. When I started my running journey, I lost a lot of weight, but the emotional aspect was just as hard as the physical challenges. Every time I stepped on the scale, it felt like I was measuring my worth, and that was tough. I had to learn that my value is not tied to a number. It's about the joy of running, the community I've built, and how much stronger I feel inside. Balance comes when you find what truly makes you happy beyond the scale.

Facts. But yo, don't forget, lifting heavy and tracking gains is where it's at. Scale's just a number, bro.

As an endurance athlete, I totally get the emotional rollercoaster. When I ran my first marathon, the scale didn't reflect the hard work I put in. It's about how you feel during your workouts and after crossing that finish line! Focus on how far you've come, not just the number

Yes! Finding that balance can be tricky, but it's so worth it! I've been sharing my self-love journey on my socials, and it's all about progress, not perfection. Try mixing in some fun workouts with your routine. It could shift your mindset and help you appreciate your journey more!

This struggle is very real. Embracing body positivity while trying to lose weight is a tough balance. What's important is that you're nourishing your body and spirit, not just chasing a number. Have you looked into intuitive eating? It might offer a new perspective for your journey.

Dude, plant-based eating has been a lifesaver for me! Losing weight while feeling energized is possible when you focus on whole foods. Are you considering trying out more plant-based meals? They can really help with mental clarity too. Just a thought.

I hear you! Losing weight is only part of the journey. Embracing a balanced lifestyle and nurturing your mental health is crucial. It might help to focus on how you feel instead of the number on the scale. Have you considered keeping a journal to document your emotions? It could provide clarity and help you find that balance you're seeking.

Ngl, it sounds like you're doing great but maybe overthinking things. Are you tracking your food? A little meal prep can go a long way. I mean, tracking macros keeps me in check and makes it easier to maintain that balance. Just saying.

You know, weight loss isn't the end-all-be-all! Focusing on strength and how you feel in your workouts is what matters. Powerlifting taught me that those PRs are way more important than the scale. Try tracking your strength gains instead!

It's so important to find peace with your body. I teach yoga, and it has helped many students realize that mindfulness is key to self-acceptance. Have you tried integrating some mindfulness practices into your daily routine? It can really help you connect with your body beyond just the physical
