Wrist pain on bench, sleeves or rest?

Yo, I've been hitting the bench hard but my wrists are feeling pretty rough lately, like it's a constant ache every time I press. I've got some sleeves but not sure if I should just chill for a bit or if the sleeves might help? Anyone else dealt with this? What's the move?

Rest is crucial when dealing with pain, but sleeves can provide some support. I had a similar issue and using sleeves helped me get through my sets without as much discomfort. Just don't push through the pain, or you could make it worse.

Yo, I've had wrist pain before too. Honestly, I found that some gentle wrist stretches and yoga really helped me. Just be sure to listen to ur body, it's all about balance! Maybe even try some light benching with good form while you recover. Your wrists will thank you.

Wrist pain can really throw off your whole lift. I suggest mixing in some wrist stretches or yoga moves to help strengthen them! I do a lot of wrist flexor stretches and it has really helped me. Make sure you're also warming up properly before ur sessions

^^^ 100! If you're not careful, wrist pain can mess with your lifts and your gains! I had to learn the hard way. Take a break and focus on form.

If the sleeves give you some support and help alleviate pain, they're worth a shot! But don't neglect your form, that's where a lot of issues can stem from. Just my experience, but I found modifying grip width helped too.

Rest is crucial if you're experiencing pain. It's easy to push through, but you don't want to risk a bigger injury. Plus, if you're not eating enough protein, that could slow down recovery. Make sure you're also getting your micronutrients to support healing.

This is a classic situation for lifters. I'd suggest taking a short deload week and tracking your progress. You might want to keep the sleeves on during lighter days to see if they help. Remember, wrist pain can sometimes be a sign of poor form or overload, so evaluate that too.

No cap, wrist pain sucks! Maybe switch to lighter weights for a bit? I tried that and it helped a lot. You don't wanna mess up your form and end up with bigger issues.

With four kids, i've learned to prioritize health! Wrist pain shouldn't be ignored. I once pushed through and ended up sidelined for weeks. I'd suggest taking some time off and incorporating some rehab exercises like wrist curls or band stretches to build strength back.

Resting might seem frustrating, but sometimes it's necessary to avoid long-term issues. Consider integrating wrist mobility drills into your routine, too. It's all about cultivating mindfulness with your body while you recover. Pain is just a signal, so be gentle with it!

Wrist pain? Welcome to the club! I mean, who needs wrists anyway? 😂 But fr, take a break and figure out what's causing the pain. It's probably not worth ruining your future gains.

When I felt wrist pain, I took a deload week and focused on lighter weights, just working on form. It allowed me to reassess and strengthen my wrists over time. Mindfulness is key, don't ignore your body's signals. Keep your lifts fluid, and your mind clear!

Dude, welcome to the club of 'my wrists hate me'. You could throw on some sleeves, but if your wrists are hurting this much, maybe consider that you're not built to be a bench press machine. Just sayin'.

If you're feeling constant wrist pain, it might be a sign to take a step back. i had a similar issue last year, and it turned out I was overextending during my bench press. You might want to analyze your form; it can make a huge difference. Plus, if you've got sleeves, they could help with stability, but they won't fix the underlying problem. Tracking how your wrists feel each session could be useful too

Honestly, if it hurts, just chill for a bit. Pain isn't just gonna magically go away if you keep pushing. Also, have you tried switching your grip or adjusting the bar path? Might help ease the stress on your wrists.

Another thing to consider is your overall volume. If you're cranking out high reps, maybe ease back a bit! i've found that balancing my rep ranges helped keep joint pain at bay.

Yeah, sleeves can help provide some support, but if it's really painful, you might need to rest. I've had wrist issues before and taking a week off made a big difference for me.

You could also try alternating your grip every few sets. I find that helps distribute the stress on my wrists better. Plus, it keeps things interesting!

This slaps, I've gone through it! When I first started benching heavy, my wrists felt like they were on fire. I got some sleeves, and they really made a difference for me. It's like a warm hug for your joints.

I dealt with wrist pain from benching before, and honestly, a little rest did wonders! I also switched to dumbbell presses for a while, which allowed my wrists to heal without losing strength.

Lowkey, I think the sleeves might actually help. Just don't expect them to fix everything. Your pain is telling you something, so keep that in mind while lifting.

Facts! Wrist pain is no joke. If you're going to keep benching, definitely consider adding wrist wraps or sleeves into your routine. They helped me push through those last reps!

Make sure to keep a close eye on your form! Sometimes it's just about the little adjustments that can save your wrists. Think about your grip, an overly tight grip can lead to issues too. Track your sessions and see if you notice any patterns with the pain.

As a busy mom, I can relate to injuries throwing off my routine! When I feel wrist pain, I scale back and focus on recovery. It's important to listen to your body and take breaks when needed. That might also give you more energy to lift later on!

This! 100% agree! If you're feeling pain, that's your body saying 'take a break, bro'. Sleeves might help, but don't just rely on them to push through the pain. It's about listening to your body.

Adding some wrist mobility drills could be a game changer! Try incorporating them into your warm-ups. I've found that keeping those small muscles strong really helps during lifting

Definitely feel you on that, rest is so underrated! And yeah, wrist mobility is key. Yoga has some great poses for wrist strength and flexibility, might be worth checking out. You might surprise yourself with how much it helps your bench!
