Anyone with knee issues successfully program around it?

i've had some knee issues in the past and it's tough to balance lifting while keeping them healthy. Currently on a PPL routine but finding some squats and heavy leg work are hitting a nerve. Any tips on modifying programming or specific lifts that worked for you? I'd love to hear how others have managed this.

Honestly, if heavy squats are hurting, just drop them. You can still make gains with higher reps and lighter weights. I was skeptical at first, but my knees thanked me after switching to leg extensions and lunges instead.

Facts! Switching to more leg machines was a game-changer for me. Keeps it fun, too! Have u tried any caffeine hacks before workouts? I swear by a pre-workout latte

Managing knee issues while being a busy mom is tough. I've started using resistance bands for leg work. They're low impact but still effective for strength

100% agree with using resistance bands. They're super versatile and perfect for keeping those knees happy. Plus, I can do them at home with the kids around!

Running has helped me stay active without aggravating my knees. I avoid heavy squats too, and just focus on lighter weights or bodyweight movements.

I also switched to a higher protein diet while reducing heavy lifts. Noticed my knee pain lessened! It's not just about working out hard; you gotta eat smart.

i had knee issues too, and swapping squats for leg presses really helped. Less stress on the knees but still a good workout.

I've found incorporating some yoga really helps with knee pain. It not only increases flexibility but also strengthens the surrounding muscles. A few sun salutations and some gentle stretches can go a long way, plus it feels good to unwind after a workout. Have you tried it?

This is so relatable. I have knee issues and just started doing more glute bridges and step-ups. It's low impact but still feels like a solid workout.

Bro, just skip the heavy squats. Do some single-leg work instead. It's like, leg day but without the risk of your knees crying. No cap.
