How to maintain progress after losing 70 lbs? Looking for tips!
I recently lost 70 lbs, bringing me down to 200 lbs, and I feel amazing! My journey started about a year ago when I decided to make a change for my health. I began lifting weights regularly, focusing on compound movements like squats and deadlifts, which have really helped build my strength. I've also adjusted my diet, prioritizing whole foods and balanced meals.
I've been tracking my progress through photos and weights, and I can see changes not just in my body, but in my energy levels and mood. Lifting has become such a passion for me; I even hit a new deadlift PR of 150 lbs last month! But I'm worried about maintaining my progress.
For anyone who has gone through a similar transformation, how do you stay motivated? Are there specific strategies you use to avoid slipping back into old habits? I want to continue this journey and keep feeling good in my body, especially as a senior! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
