Has anyone else seen their grocery bill skyrocket after hitting 1.2g/lb protein?

TL;DR: Grocery bills shot up after hitting 1.2g/lb protein. Need budget-friendly protein sources

So, I recently switched to aiming for 1.2g of protein per pound of bodyweight, and man, my grocery bill is insane now! I used to be able to grab enough chicken and eggs for a decent price, but now im dropping cash like it's nothing. Anyone else dealt with this? How do you balance your protein needs without breaking the bank? I'm looking for some budget-friendly options!

I hear you, but I think tracking your intake can really help manage costs. I use Cronometer to keep tabs on my nutrition. If you know what you're getting, you can find budget-friendly protein that fits your needs without overspending.

Lmao, bro just eat pizza, way cheaper! 馃槀 But on the real, try rotating in cheaper protein sources, like canned tuna or beans. You can make some bomb meals without going broke!

1.2g/lb is a beast of a goal, and it's gonna hit your wallet hard. But if you commit to calisthenics and mix in bodyweight meals, you can save some cash. I've been doing it and it works. Check out bulk beans and lentils, they're protein-packed and cheap!

100! I feel you on that grocery bill struggle. I can't have dairy, so I rely on things like chickpeas and tofu. Those are solid protein sources and usually easier on the budget!

I agree with the meal prep idea! I find that cooking in bulk helps reduce my spending too. I also check sales and stock up when I see deals on lean meats and eggs. You'd be surprised how much you can save!

If you look into plant-based options, you might find some good savings! Things like black beans and lentils can fill you up without emptying your wallet. And don't sleep on eggs, they're super versatile and packed with protein!

You could try meal prepping! I love prepping chicken, quinoa, and veggies for the week. It saves money and keeps me on track. Plus, it's super convenient for my runs!

Man, my grocery bill has seen some wild spikes too. As a dad, I just make sure I balance my meals. Ground turkey is a good, budget-friendly protein source, plus the kids love it! Just don't tell them it's good for them

Yeah man, facts. But don't forget about the power of carbs too! I mix protein powder with oatmeal or yogurt to hit my numbers without breaking the bank. You can also find good deals on frozen meats sometimes!
