1 year post-amputation progress update: feeling good but need advice on tracking!

TL;DR: 1 year post-amputation, gained 15 lbs, lifting stronger, need advice on tracking macros post-surgery.

It's been a full year since my amputation and I've been hitting the gym consistently! I started at 150 lbs and I'm now at 165 lbs with a 1RM deadlift of 315 lbs and bench at 225 lbs. Lifting has been a mental grind but I'm seeing some solid muscle gain and body recomposition. I'm all about that keto life, but I'm struggling with tracking my macros effectively post-surgery. Any tips for optimizing my nutrition and progress pics? Would love some feedback!

Omg, what's your favorite post-workout snack? I'm lowkey obsessed with protein smoothies! But like, I'm just a college student trying to eat healthy on a budget. It's a struggle, ngl.

I love your journey! When I was younger, we didn't have all these tracking apps, just good old pen and paper. I find that a manual log can really help you connect with your food. Try writing down how you feel after meals too, it can guide you.

I think tracking can become overwhelming. Sometimes, I just eyeball my food. It works for me and I still get results. Maybe try intuitive eating and see how that feels. Just don't stress too much about the numbers.

Solid gains, man! For tracking macros on keto, I've found using an app like MacroFactor really helps. It adjusts your targets based on your weight changes and progress, so you can focus on lifting instead of stressing about numbers

I love seeing progress after surgery, that's inspiring! One thing to remember is to have a deload week every now and then, especially with heavier lifts like deadlifts. Your body needs recovery too!

im really impressed with your progress! Lifting post-amputation must have its own challenges. After my last baby, I found tracking on MyFitnessPal easier than I thought. It lets you scan barcodes and keeps a log of meals you've eaten before. Makes life a bit simpler!

Facts! Consistency is the name of the game. Also, try to switch up your routine every few weeks to keep things fresh. Boredom is the enemy of gains, my dude. Keep it interesting!

Congrats on your progress! I suggest meal prepping on weekends to simplify your tracking. I usually cook up a week's worth of chicken, veggies, and healthy fats. Just portion everything out and keep a log of your meals. Super easy!

Tracking macros is vital, but have you considered focusing more on whole foods? You can hit your protein goals with plant-based options too. Maybe try adding legumes and quinoa into your diet. It's sustainable and nutritious.

100! Body positivity is all about progress, not perfection. You're doing amazing things, and tracking doesn't have to be rigid. Listen to your body, and if you're hungry, eat! That's a form of tracking too.

Bro, deadlifting 315 is no joke! But don't forget about your accessory work too, that's where gains happen. A little imbalance can hurt your lifts, so mix in some rows and pull-ups
