Can powerlifting really help with my T2 diabetes? A1C drop + body changes here!

TL;DR: 6 months into powerlifting, lost 15 lbs and dropped A1C from 8.0 to 6.5.

So, I've been powerlifting for about 6 months now, and it's been wild. I started at 180 lbs and had an A1C of 8.0. Fast forward to today, I'm down to 165 lbs with an A1C of 6.5! My lifts have also improved, hit a 315 lb squat PR last week. If you're in a similar boat, tracking carbs and lifting heavy can actually make a difference. Anyone else seeing progress like this?

This is amazing! Powerlifting can totally improve insulin sensitivity. Just remember, if you're not tracking your food, you might miss out on those gains. Try MyFitnessPal or Cronometer if you're not already logging.

That's a significant drop in A1C! It's crucial to balance your carbs and protein, especially when you're lifting heavy. Try keeping a food diary, even if it's manual. It's really helpful to see how your body responds to different foods.

Bro, powerlifting is sick for your health, but don't skip cardio. Gotta keep that heart strong, ya know? Balance is key.

Lifting can definitely be a pathway to better health. Just don't forget to include some mindfulness in your routine. Balancing physical and mental health is key. Try yoga or meditation for recovery days.

Yo, i've been lifting for about a month and I'm feeling stronger already. This just motivates me to keep going! Got a PR of 200 lbs on deadlift last week.

For real, caffeine is my lifeblood at the gym. I can't lift without my pre-workout. But bro, remember to hydrate too! Coffee can dehydrate you

This is so inspiring! I used to hate lifting, but now I love it! Finding the right form is everything; it took me a while to feel comfortable. Just keep crushing those PRs!

315 squat is a solid PR! That's beast mode right there! Just be careful with form; no one wants to get hurt chasing numbers. Stay smart out there.

I'm so proud of you! As a mom, I encourage my kids to stay active too. Powerlifting can be such a fun way to bond as a family. We do our own little challenges at home.

Facts. I've been on keto for a year, and my lifts have improved along with my health markers. Focusing on macros can be a game changer. Just hit your protein goals and stay consistent.

I lift late at night too! It's super chill when the gym's empty, just me and my caffeine. But powerlifting sounds intense; how do you stay focused?
