Why did my reverse diet stall after +200 cal for 14 weeks?

TL;DR: Reverse diet stalled after 14 weeks at +200 calories. Any advice?

Been grinding through a reverse diet for 14 weeks, steadily increasing my intake by 200 calories each week. Thought I'd be seeing some solid gains or at least a bump in my lifts, but it's like I hit a wall. My scale weight hasn't budged, and im feeling kinda stuck.

I'm hitting my protein targets (around 1g/lb) and keeping my workouts consistent, but this stall is messing with my head. Should I change my macros, or is this just part of the process? Anyone else hit a plateau like this while reversing? Would love some insight or advice from the crew here!

It sounds like you're doing a great job tracking your calories and protein! One thing that might help is switching up your meals a bit. I like to incorporate a variety of whole foods like legumes, quinoa, and colorful veggies to keep things interesting. This not only helps with nutrient intake but can also kickstart your metabolism!

Facts! Sometimes a lil break is what ya need. Maybe try a deload week or just mix up your lifts. My gains took off after I switched from a push/pull/legs to a bro split for a bit. Heavy lifts are fun!

I get where you're coming from, but don't forget that weight isn't the only indicator of progress. Your lifts could be improving even if the scale isn't budging! Make sure to track other things like strength, energy levels, and how your clothes fit. It can really help you stay motivated.

Ngl, reverse dieting can feel like running in circles sometimes. I tried it and felt stuck too. Just remember, even if the scale isn't moving, muscle growth can be sneaky! Maybe you just need to hang in there a bit longer and mix up your routine.

Honestly, stalling after 14 weeks with consistent caloric increases is pretty common. I've hit similar walls, but then I just adjusted my macros or added more conditioning. Just pushing harder on your lifts might do the trick too! Sometimes you need that little nudge to get through the plateau.

Yo, skill issue! 200 cals a week is a lot for some. Are you really tracking everything? Like those sauces and snacks? You might be surprised at how much they add up, bro. Focus on the basics and make sure you're counting everything.

This can be a tough situation! Make sure you're also keeping an eye on recovery. Sometimes, too much stress or not enough sleep can hinder progress. I try to prioritize recovery methods like foam rolling and yoga to help my body adjust when I increase my intake

Plateaus like this can be super frustrating. I've experienced them too, especially when increasing calories. Sometimes, your body just needs time to adjust. Have you tried looking at your training intensity or even the volume? Small tweaks in your routine might help get things moving again.

Have you thought about adjusting your workout? Sometimes, just changing the rep ranges or adding supersets can shake things up! I went through a stall, and when I switched to lower reps with heavier weights, I started seeing gains again. Stay strong!
