Do you really need to eat protein within 30 minutes post-workout?
The idea that you MUST slam down protein right after your workout is kinda a myth! Research shows that the anabolic window isn't as small as we thought. A study published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition found that protein synthesis can be maximized with intake up to 24 hours post-exercise, especially if you had a good amount before your workout (Phillips & Van Loon, 2011). So if you can't get to your protein shake right away, don't stress! Just make sure you hit your daily protein goal and enjoy your pancakes afterward!
