Nutrola vs Cronometer, honest opinions?
I've been using both Nutrola and Cronometer for about 60 days now and I'm trying to decide which one to stick with. As a busy dad of three, I need something that fits into my hectic schedule, while also helping me track my nutrition accurately. I love to BBQ on weekends, so I want to ensure I'm hitting my macros without spending too much time on the app.
Nutrola has been great for its user-friendly interface and quick barcode scanning, which is a lifesaver when I'm trying to log meals on the fly. It also offers meal suggestions based on my preferences, but I've found the database can be a bit hit or miss with some common foods. I appreciate that it syncs with my wearable devices, but I've noticed that the premium features are locked behind a paywall.
On the other hand, Cronometer is known for its accuracy, especially when it comes to micronutrients. I like that it has a more extensive database for specific dietary needs, which is crucial for me. But, it's not as intuitive as Nutrola and the time it takes to log everything can really add up, especially with three kids running around! I'm also curious about the community aspect of Cronometer and how that might help with motivation.
So, I'm wondering if anyone here has made the switch from one to the other or has strong feelings about either app? What has been your experience? Any insights would be appreciated!
