PPL Frequency: 1.5 vs 2x, What's the Move?

TL;DR: What's the best frequency for PPL: 1.5x or 2x a week?

I've been doing PPL for a while and I'm curious about the frequency debate. I've seen some say 1.5x a week is enough for recovery and growth, while others swear by 2x for max gains. I hit a plateau recently, so I'm considering switching things up. What's been your experience with these frequencies? Anyone notice better progress with one over the other?

Back in my day, we didn't have all these fancy splits! We just lifted hard, and a lot. 1.5x can be sufficient for growth if you're pushing yourself during those sessions. But if you're not feeling the pump, it might be time to up the frequency and see how you feel.

I think it really depends on your body! I tried 2x for a month and felt wrecked. Now, I do 1.5x and feel much better! It's about finding your groove.

Facts! Caffeine also gives me a solid boost before my 2x sessions. I'm not saying it's the magic potion, but it sure helps me hit that extra set. Mix that with your PPL and you might just hit new PRs!

I've done both frequencies, and honestly, recovery is key. If you're plateauing, consider your nutrition and sleep too. Meal prepping helps me stay on track. I usually aim for 1.5x and it works well, but some weeks I push to 2x if I'm feeling good.

I get it! Balancing lifting and parenting can be tough, but hitting the gym 2x a week is totally doable! Just the other day, I was doing squats while my kids played with their toys. You can make it work, bro.

1.5x? Skill issue. Real lifters hit 2x and they don't complain. You gotta push yourself if you want to break that plateau. Nobody got strong sitting around.

I have seen better aesthetics with a 2x frequency for my PPL. Hitting muscles twice a week really helps with hypertrophy. You can't just lift, though! You gotta track your food and stay consistent with your diet.
