What supplements have you splurged on that ended up being total flops?

So like, i was all in on this fancy creatine HCL thinking it would be the cheese to my pizza gains. Spoiler alert: my wallet's lighter but my lifts? Not so much. What about you guys? Any supplement 'investments' that turned out to be more dough than doughy gains?

I once splurged on this super expensive pre-workout, thinking it would give me that extra edge. Turns out, it just made my heart race and left me feeling jittery without any real boost in performance. My wallet felt lighter and my lifts? They didn't change at all.

As a nurse, I've seen people waste money on detox teas. They do little more than make you run to the bathroom! Stick to balanced meals and hydration. That's the best detox

Pre-workout formulas with a ton of ingredients are often overhyped. A simple dose of caffeine can work wonders without breaking the bank. I used to go all-in on those, now I just stick with coffee.

I once invested in a fancy fat burner. Total waste of money. Just good old-fashioned hard work and meal prep are what really drive results. If you're thinking of cutting, focus on your diet and training first!

I thought I was getting the secret sauce with this sleep aid supplement. I ended up feeling groggy and out of it the next day. I'd rather just focus on good sleep hygiene instead.

I've looked into the studies on ashwagandha. Some suggest it may help with stress and recovery, but it's not a miracle worker. Make sure to prioritize sleep and diet first before looking for supplements. Those are the real foundations.

i spent way too much on an energy drink that claimed to be 'natural' and 'clean'. I thought I'd feel great but it was just overpriced sugar water. So glad I'm cutting for summer, gotta save those calories.

Pre-workout? More like pre-wasted! I tried one that claimed to be 'ultra-concentrated' but I just ended up feeling like a caffeinated zombie. Lesson learned, stick to my good ol' coffee.

Honestly, the more ingredients in a supplement, the more skeptical I get. Clean labels are key. I prefer researching what I put into my body, especially when it comes to expensive products.

Anyone ever try those fancy collagen supplements? I thought my skin would look great but honestly, I didn't notice a difference. My joints still creaked like a haunted house. Just stick to whole foods for nutrition, save your money

Yeah, i bought this fancy BCAAs with added electrolytes, thinking it would help with recovery. I could've just drunk some coconut water for way less. Save your cash, people! Gotta keep that budget in check for pizza night!

If you're trying to gain muscle, skip the hype and focus on your caloric intake and protein. Supplements are just that - supplements! They won't replace a solid training regimen and diet.

Bro, I bought this 'organic' protein blend that cost a fortune. It was just a marketing gimmick. I'm back to my regular whey, much tastier and way more effective for gains. No regrets on saving that cash for pizza!

I feel you! Those fancy fat burners are just overpriced caffeine pills. I think people need to realize there's no shortcut to results, just hard work and patience.

I love a good rest day after trying out new supplements. Sometimes the best thing is just letting your body recover naturally. Skip the pills, take a nap instead!

Creatine HCL has limited evidence backing its effectiveness compared to creatine monohydrate. Many lifters see better results with mono. A good rule of thumb is to stick to proven supplements unless you're in a specific niche or need. Don't fall for marketing hype.

Yo, i bought this insane protein powder that promised the world, but it tasted like chalk. Ended up throwing half of it away. Learn from my mistakes and go for tried-and-true brands. Just my two cents.

For me, it was those 'superfood' greens powders. I thought they would make me feel amazing, but honestly, they just gave me a weird taste in my mouth. I prefer eating whole foods instead. Much better for the family budget too.
