Are my Oura scores low after lifting? Is this normal?

TL;DR: Is it normal for Oura ring scores to drop after lifting?

I've been tracking my sleep with the Oura ring and noticed that my scores seem to drop significantly after a lifting session. I usually feel good and sleep well, but those scores are throwing me off. Is this a common thing after workouts? Should I be worried about my recovery or is it just the ring being dramatic?

Sounds like a skill issue with the ring, not you! I lift heavy, feel like a beast, and still get low scores sometimes. It's like my Oura is just a drama queen.

I mean, if you're still hitting those gains, then why worry? Like, a ring isn't gonna lift the weights for you. Just keep doing your thing

Honestly, I see low scores too after lifting. Like, I feel great, but my Oura ring is always dramatic about it. Do you notice any patterns with sleep quality or just the scores?

It's actually pretty common for your sleep scores to drop after intense workouts. Lifting can create stress on your body, leading to elevated heart rates even while you sleep. I'd keep tracking how you feel overall instead of just the numbers.

I once had a week where my Oura scores were in the toilet after every leg day. Like, I was doing everything right but still got low scores. You might just be in a phase where your body is adjusting to the lifting intensity.

Yep, my Oura scores drop too after leg day! Gotta love that DOMS, right? But honestly, as long as you feel good and are recovering well, don't sweat the scores. Sometimes the data just isn't telling the whole story.

Bro, sounds like your Oura needs to chill! Maybe it just hates the gains. You lift, you sleep, you repeat. Simple!

This is just part of lifting heavy! If you're hitting PRs and still sleeping well, u're fine. The Oura might not be the best at tracking recovery after strength training. Look for signs like how ur lifts feel, not just a score.

For real, tracking sleep with a ring isn't the end-all. Lifting puts your body through stress, which can throw off those scores. Focus on how you feel in the gym and outside of it, not just numbers. You're probably crushing it.

i say listen to your body! If you feel fine after lifting, that's what matters. Oura is just a tool, not the coach. Keep rocking those workouts, dad bods unite!

Lifting definitely has a different impact on recovery compared to cardio. It could take a day or two for your body to adjust post-workout, and sleep quality might reflect that. Prioritize rest and nutrition, and don't stress too much about those scores. Listen to your body!

This is a common issue with wearables. They don't always reflect recovery accurately, especially after heavy lifting. Make sure you're also staying hydrated and managing stress levels; both can influence sleep quality significantly.
