Anyone here using cannabis as a sleep aid? Looking for sustainable options!

TL;DR: Looking for sustainable cannabis options as a sleep aid. Anyone have recommendations?

So, I've been struggling with my sleep lately. With all the lifting and trying to stay on top of my recovery, I'm starting to think about using cannabis as a sleep aid. I've heard mixed things about it, especially regarding sustainability. I'm all about that plant-based life, so using something that's eco-friendly is super important to me!

I'd love to hear if anyone here has experience with cannabis for sleep. What strains or products have you found helpful? Do you prefer oils, edibles, or something else? Also, how do you make sure you're getting a quality product that's sustainable? I'm looking to catch some quality Zs without compromising my values. Any tips would be amazing! 馃挙

I tried some CBD oil for sleep and honestly, it was a game changer for me! I sleep way better, and it's plant-based so I feel good about it. Just make sure to check where it's sourced from!

Yep, cannabis can be helpful, but I've had mixed experiences. Some nights, I sleep like a baby, but other times, I just end up staring at the ceiling, thinking about my next PR. I've tried edibles and oils, but I lean more towards oils since I can control the dosage better

I've been using a CBD tincture for sleep due to my chronic illness, and it really calms my mind. But, not all brands are equal. Look for third-party lab tested products for the best quality.

I've tried both edibles and oils, and honestly, I prefer oils. They kick in quicker for me, which is perfect when I'm trying to wind down after a long day. Just remember to start low and go slow with dosage!

Bro, I'm all for plant-based options, but I've heard some strains can mess with recovery. It's like, do you wanna lift heavy or wake up feeling hazy? I usually just stick to CBD products, they help without the high. A good balance, right?

Sleep is super crucial for recovery, and while some strains can help, remember that quality matters. Look into local dispensaries that focus on organic growth practices. Sustainable options do exist, and they can be effective.

Honestly, I've found that cannabis can help with sleep, but the key is finding the right strain. Indica strains tend to be more relaxing. Just keep an eye on how it affects your recovery, you don't want to feel groggy lifting the next day.

This is a skill issue if you're relying on cannabis to sleep. 馃槀 Lifting heavy and recovering should be enough to knock you out. But if you need it, i guess it's cool. Just don't make it a crutch, bro.

Ngl, I think some people overhype cannabis as a sleep aid. Sure, it can help you fall asleep, but if you're not managing stress or your overall lifestyle, it might not be a long-term fix. Just my two cents

I get where you're coming from, but not everyone responds well to cannabis. Some might end up feeling groggy the next day, which could hurt their workouts. Just keep that in mind if you try it.

That's so true! I tried it once and felt like I was dragging during my workout the next day. I'm sticking to just the oils now.

I used to think cannabis was overrated for sleep, but after a few sleepless nights, I gave it a shot. A little THC before bed has helped, but I also try to pair it with good sleep hygiene, like keeping my room dark and cool.

It's definitely a balancing act! I love seeing how everyone here is exploring options. Whatever route you take, ensure it complements your training and overall health. No need to compromise on your values!

As a registered dietitian, I can't ignore the potential benefits of CBD for sleep. It can help with relaxation and anxiety, but always look for reputable brands. I suggest reading user reviews and checking for certifications. Sustainable practices are a bonus!

I love the idea of using cannabis as a sleep aid, but I've heard that it can mess with REM sleep. If that's true, I'm not sure it's worth it. Just something to consider.

Using cannabis as a sleep aid can be tricky. Some people might get better sleep quality while others might just feel groggy in the morning. If you're interested in sustainability, look for brands that provide information about their sourcing and cultivation practices. My advice is to experiment with microdosing and see what works for you.

I tried using cannabis for sleep a while back, especially after heavy lifting sessions. I found that a hybrid strain worked best for me, it helped relax my body without completely knocking me out. I also made sure to choose organic, sustainably-grown products to stay aligned with my values. Sometimes, I'd mix it with some chamomile tea for an extra calming effect.

If you're considering cannabis, you should definitely think about how it interacts with your overall recovery. Some people find it helps with sleep but can affect their next-day performance. It's all about finding that balance.

I totally get wanting something eco-friendly! I've been using a full-spectrum CBD oil from a local farm that practices sustainable farming. The effects have been great for my sleep, and I feel good supporting a local business. Plus, it's vegan, so it fits my lifestyle perfectly!

I'm a chronic illness warrior, and I've had to be careful with cannabis. Some days, it helps, other days, it just adds to my fatigue. I've found that strains high in CBD and low in THC work best for me. Listen to your body and adjust accordingly.

I mean, why not? Who doesn't love a good chill sesh before bed? Just make sure you're not getting too high, or you might end up lifting your bed instead of weights. 馃槀

I lift on the weekends due to work, and I've used CBD before bed after late-night sessions. It really helps with recovery, but I always combine it with my stretching routine. Helps me get a full night's sleep.

You bring up a good point. While I've had great success with CBD, I always try to practice good sleep hygiene as well. No screens before bed, a dark room, and a good routine have made a huge difference.

This might not be what you want to hear, but I'm not convinced about cannabis for sleep. Sometimes, people think they're getting quality rest, but it's actually just altering the sleep cycle. Have you tried some other natural remedies first? Like melatonin or valerian root?

I love making healthy snacks, and sometimes I'll whip up a little snack with some CBD oil before bed. Just a banana with a bit of almond butter and a few drops of oil! Tastes great and helps me wind down.
