From 320 to 180 in 4 Years - Here's the Journey
So, it's been a long ride, but I finally made it from 320 lbs to 180 lbs over the past four years. Not a quick fix, but consistency and a lot of caffeine kept me energized. I'm sharing some progress photos and a few thoughts on how caffeine played a role in this transformation.
When I started, I was feeling like a literal couch potato. I remember lifting 135 lbs for bench presses and just feeling completely drained afterward. Now, I'm hitting 225 lbs for my 1RM, and honestly, coffee has been my best friend through this whole process. I drink a cup before workouts, and it just seems to hit differently on days I lift heavier. I swear I could lift the fridge with enough caffeine!
I've also focused on meal prep and macros, which helped a ton. Here's a simple breakdown of my weekly routine:
- Lift 4x a week: Following a PPL split
- Cardio: 2x a week, mostly HIIT
- Macros: ~2000 calories, 40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat
So yeah, progress is real. Anyone else have a long journey like this? What's your caffeine routine like? I need to know if I'm alone in this coffee obsession.
