6 Month Cut Progress: Feeling the Changes, but Need Support

TL;DR: After 6 months of cutting, I went from 175 lbs to 145 lbs and hit a deadlift PR of 155 lbs. Seeking motivation tips as I navigate this journey.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my progress after a 6-month cut. I started at 175 lbs and I'm now down to 145 lbs. As a mom of three, balancing workouts, meal prep, and family life has been a challenge, but I'm really proud of the changes I've made. I've incorporated more mindfulness practices into my routine, which has helped me stay focused and motivated.

I can see a difference in my physique, especially in my midsection and arms. I've been lifting heavier too, my deadlift is now at 155 lbs for 3 sets of 8. I want to celebrate the progress I've made, but I also find myself feeling a bit lost sometimes. How do you all stay motivated during this journey? Any tips for maintaining balance and avoiding burnout would be greatly appreciated!

Here are some before and after photos to share my journey. Thank you for the support, it means a lot!

This is awesome! As a mom of five, I feel you on balancing family and fitness. I often have my kids join me for workouts, and we make it fun! Plus, meal prepping is a lifesaver. You can totally do this while having family time!

First off, congrats on your weight loss! It sounds like you're also focusing on your mental well-being, which is just as important. For staying motivated, try setting small, achievable goals, like tracking your macros or incorporating more veggies into your meals. Also, don't forget to celebrate non-scale victories, like improved strength or energy levels!

I respect the grind, but be careful with those heavy lifts without proper form. It's easy to get caught up in the numbers. Instead of focusing only on PRs, make sure you're also dialing in your technique. Safety first, especially as a busy mom.

That's incredible progress! I remember when I started my journey; I felt so lost sometimes too. For me, running became a way to clear my mind and stay focused. It's amazing how movement can help with mental clarity and motivation. Maybe a little jog or brisk walk could help you find your groove again.

Great job on your cut! Remember to keep your fiber intake up while you're cutting; it'll help with satiety and digestion. Foods like lentils, beans, and whole grains can be super beneficial. Just make sure you're also staying hydrated, as that's crucial during a cut.

Amazing progress! As a mom of three, I can totally relate to how challenging it can be to juggle everything. I always try to include my kids in my workouts, like doing family yoga or fun HIIT sessions together. It keeps them active and helps me stay on track too!

100% agree with the balance thing! Tracking calories can feel tedious, but I've found that using apps like MyFitnessPal helps keep me on track. I like to log my meals to see where I can improve. Just don't let it become an obsession; intuitive eating can also be a great approach!

I totally get that feeling of being lost. It's common in long journeys like this. Mindfulness practices can really help. Consider journaling or even meditation to connect with your thoughts and feelings. You might discover deeper motivations or adjustments you can make. Remember, balance is key, so don't be too hard on yourself!

Your deadlift is killer! I just started lifting and can't imagine hitting those numbers yet. What's your routine look like? Do you have a specific program or are you just going with the flow? I'd love some tips.

This is so inspiring! I just started my fitness journey and sometimes feel overwhelmed. How do you deal with cravings? I'm trying to figure out how to balance eating healthy and enjoying food.
