Anyone else dealing with PCOS while cutting? How do you manage the cravings?

TL;DR: Finished my first cut after 18 months with PCOS, lost 15 lbs but struggling with cravings. Any tips?

So, I got diagnosed with PCOS about 18 months ago, and I've finally completed my first cut! I lost around 15 lbs and it feels amazing, but honestly, the cravings are no joke, especially for carbs. I've been trying to keep my snacks healthy and on a budget, like popcorn and yogurt, but sometimes I just wanna smash a whole pizza. Anyone have tips for staying on track with PCOS while cutting? What do you snack on when those cravings hit hard?

I totally feel you on the cravings! I had similar issues while prepping for my first competition. I found that keeping some sugar-free jello or low-cal snack options on hand helped a ton! That way, I could indulge without feeling guilty. Every now and then, I would allow myself a cheat meal to keep the motivation up!

Honestly, I think allowing yourself a 'cheat day' every now and then can really help. It keeps you from feeling deprived, which is a big factor in cravings! I had a major pizza night after a long week of training, and I felt so much better afterward. Just make sure to get back on track the next day!

Lowkey, I think people put too much pressure on themselves when cutting. Like, just because you want pizza doesn't mean you should deny yourself! Balance that out with some lifting and cardio, and you'll be fine. And if you do mess up, just hit it harder in the gym next time.

You're on the right track with healthy snacks! I'd suggest tracking your macros, especially carbs, since they can trigger cravings. I like using apps like MacroFactor for that. Helps me stay accountable without feeling restricted. Remember, it's about finding a balance and listening to your body. You got this!

It's interesting how everyone responds to cravings differently. Some people find high-fat foods help curb cravings, while others need higher carbs. Experiment a bit! And remember, as you cut, your body is adjusting. Give it some time, and don't rush into extreme measures.

While tracking is helpful, I've found that some people can develop an unhealthy relationship with food when overly restricted. Intuitive eating works for a lot of folks, especially if they understand their hunger cues. Try not to stress too much about cravings; they happen. Focus on your performance in the gym instead. If you feel good, that's what matters.

Honestly, it comes down to personal accountability. If you're tracking your macros and still struggle with cravings, it might be time to reevaluate your diet. You might not be eating enough during your main meals. Adjusting portion sizes can often help with those cravings, trust me.

Omg, I get you! PCOS cravings are like no joke. I used to think popcorn was my savior, but sometimes, I just end up with an entire bag of chips instead! Have you tried making your own healthy snack mixes? Just throw some nuts, dried fruit, and maybe a few dark chocolate chips together. It can totally satisfy that craving without going overboard!

Honestly, just eat the pizza sometimes. Life's too short, right? I lift at weird hours, and sometimes a late-night pizza is just what I need to recharge! Balance is key, just keep hitting the gym hard. And for those late-night cravings, I usually go for low-calorie popcorn or even protein shakes. Helps keep it in check.

When cravings hit, sometimes I go for a smoothie! I toss in spinach, protein powder, and some frozen fruit. It tastes like a treat but keeps me on track. Also, don't beat yourself up over a slice of pizza once in a while. It's all about balance! Plus, a pizza night can be a fun social thing with friends.

For me, a good snack hack has been cucumber slices with hummus or guacamole. It's crunchy and satisfying but not heavy on calories! When those carb cravings hit, it really helps to find alternatives that you enjoy. Remember, just bc you have PCOS doesn't mean you can't have fun with food!

Yes, the cravings can hit hard! I had to learn to prep my meals ahead of time. I keep grilled chicken and veggies on hand for quick meals. You might want to look into some higher protein snacks too! I love Greek yogurt with some berries. The protein helps fill me up and keeps me from wanting a whole pizza

Facts. A little pizza isn't gonna derail your gains. Just don't be a total savage and eat the whole pie. Hit the gym harder the next day to burn it off, bro. Cardio helps a ton for cravings too, just sayin'.

I tried those 100-calorie packs of snacks when I had cravings, but they just left me wanting more! I'd rather just have a healthy portion of something I love. Sometimes I'll even have a mini dessert, like a square of dark chocolate, just to satisfy my sweet tooth without going overboard. Totally helps with keeping my sanity!

Also, I've started using a food diary app, and it really helps me stay on track! I can see what I'm eating and when I'm craving things. It makes it easier to identify patterns. Plus, I love seeing my progress over time! Maybe give that a try?
