From Cutting to Maintenance: Here's What Happened!

I just wrapped up my cutting phase and transitioned to maintenance after 12 weeks! I went from 150 lbs to 135 lbs and dropped my body fat percentage from 27% to 22%. I feel stronger and more energetic! It's been exciting to see my lifts increase too, with my squat PR going from 150 lbs to 175 lbs! Anyone else experience changes like this during their cut to maintenance transition?

Wow, that's awesome! I did a Whole30 cut last year, and it completely transformed my energy levels too. Clean eating really makes a difference. Are you planning on sticking to any specific meal plan during maintenance? I found that keeping it simple with whole foods made my transition smoother.

100%. Dropping down to maintenance can be challenging. I personally track my macros religiously, especially since I'm on keto. It keeps me accountable and helps me avoid slipping back into bad habits. I know some folks swear by intuitive eating, but I'd rather know exactly what I'm consuming. What tracking method are you using?

I have to disagree a bit on the tracking debate. While tracking macros can be useful, I think it's also really important to tune into how your body feels. Eating mindfully has its own benefits, and it can help you understand your hunger cues better. It's a balance, really. I've got some great recipes for low-sugar snacks if you're interested!

Yep, this! I'm all about that cardio life, but I know strength training is crucial for keeping that muscle during maintenance. Just keep mixing it up, and you'll see those lifts soar! I love HIIT workouts for keeping things interesting. Have you tried incorporating more cardio into your routine?

Congrats on your progress! I remember when I was cutting a few years back, and it felt like I was on a rollercoaster of emotions. My lifts went up and down, and sometimes I felt like I was starving. But when I transitioned to maintenance, I finally felt like I was in control. I think it's all about finding that sweet spot in your intake and really listening to your body. Now, my kids love to see me lifting and being active, which is such a motivator for me. Keep it up, you're doing great!

I think it's great to hear you're feeling stronger! Transitioning from a cut can feel overwhelming, especially when juggling kids and workouts. I've found that planning meals ahead helps me stay on track, even when life gets chaotic. Quick meals like stir-fries or batch-cooked protein really save me. Do you find it hard to meal prep with everything going on?

That's really inspiring! Transitioning out of a cut can feel tricky. I remember running my first marathon and how the post-race recovery was such a delicate balance. I had to relearn how to fuel my body properly, not just for performance, but also for recovery. It's all about listening to your needs and adjusting as u go. Have you found any new favorite meals in your maintenance phase?

This is so exciting! I've been experimenting with kettlebell workouts and combining them with maintenance eating, and the results have been fantastic. I think finding what works best for you is key. Have you thought about switching up your workout routine as you move into maintenance? Mixing it up can keep things fresh and fun!
