Hit my first 405 deadlift at 32, feeling amazing but any tips for next steps?

TL;DR: Just hit a 405 deadlift, looking for advice on next training steps after this PR.

I've been training with kettlebells for about 4 years now, and after countless hours of hard work, I finally pulled a 405 deadlift! I can't believe I finally hit this milestone, and it feels surreal. It's been a journey for sure. 馃挭 I started at 275 a few years ago and just kept pushing myself.

I've got to say, seeing the progress in my strength has been such a confidence boost. I've included a before and after photo showing my form and weight changes, and it blows my mind to see how far I've come!

Now that I've hit this 1RM, I'm curious about what to focus on next. Should I keep pushing my deadlift higher, or is it time to switch up my training? Any advice on how to maintain strength while also working on mobility or other lifts would be great. What do you all recommend for someone who just hit a big PR like this?

Congrats on hitting that 405! That's such an amazing milestone, and it's inspiring to see your dedication pay off. Have you thought about integrating some variations into your training? Like sumo deadlifts or deficit deadlifts? They can help build different muscle groups and improve your overall strength. Don't forget to keep working on mobility too; it's essential for injury prevention and better lifting form.

Great job on your deadlift! Balance is key, so maybe add in some mobility work with yoga or stretching routines. It can be beneficial for overall performance and prevent injuries. Mindful practices can really help your lifting, too. Just remember to listen to your body as you progress.

Facts. 405 is heavy, bro! Keep pushing it, but don't forget to mix in some accessory work too.

100! Celebrate that win! Just remember, lifting is a journey, not a race. Keep doing you, and don't forget to have fun with it. Self-love is the best motivator.

That's some serious weight! Now that you've hit 405, I'd suggest focusing on your form and maybe even programming in a deload week. A lot of lifters forget to let their bodies recover. Plus, consider tracking your lifts and nutrition using an app like MacroFactor. It really helps in managing your progress and setting new goals.

Hitting a new PR feels incredible! I remember when I hit 315 for the first time, and it really boosted my confidence. I think it's smart to consider other lifts too. You might want to try adding in some front squats or Romanian deadlifts. They'll help balance your workouts and give you strength in other areas. And honestly, don't forget about recovery, foam rolling and stretching can do wonders!

Wow, hitting 405 is an amazing accomplishment! Running has taught me the importance of cross-training and variety. Maybe try incorporating some cardio or lighter lifts into your routine. It can help with overall endurance and strength, plus it's great for mental health. Just keep challenging yourself in new ways.

You should just keep pushing your deadlift. Mobility is cool, but real gains come from heavy lifting, man

I love seeing progress like this! At 62, I still lift, and I always say it's never too late to push your limits. Just remember to pay attention to your body as you increase weights. Consider adding some light weights to your mobility work; I find it helps with my lifts as well. Plus, it's a great way to prevent injuries.

Lifting at night is the best! If you're looking for something new to try after hitting that PR, maybe play around with some tempo lifts. Slowing down your reps can really help with strength. Plus, caffeine helps me push through those late-night sessions. Keep crushing those goals!
