What's a solid short run plan for a non-long-run lover?

So, I'm 22F, been running for like 2 years now but seriously, long runs are not my vibe. I'm all about those short sprints, but I wanna up my game without dragging myself through a 10-miler. Any suggestions for a solid plan that won't make me cry while still keeping it spicy?

ugh, long runs are like torture. i say stick with short intervals, maybe 30 seconds on, 1-minute off, and throw in some hill sprints for fun. That should keep things spicy without the 10-mile nightmare.

yesss, I'm all about those sprints too! I usually do some quick 20-minute sessions after lifting, then crush a post-workout smoothie. Keeps me energized for the day!

I love this! Short sprints are super effective for cardio and overall health. Plus, they keep things fun. Just make sure you're tracking your progress to see those improvements!

based. And who needs a 10-miler anyway? Life is too short to run that long. 😂 Just run fast and keep it fun!

long runs make me feel like I'm dying, too! I'm more of a 5K or shorter kind of guy. If you ever feel like you're losing motivation, just remember that even the pros hate them sometimes. 😂

Running doesn't have to be all about distance. Consider incorporating some yoga or stretching on your off days to help with recovery and flexibility. It's all about balance!

If you're serious about sprinting, try incorporating tempo runs or Fartlek training into your week. They're great for speed and endurance without dragging on. Just don't skip recovery days!

I totally get the dislike for long runs! For a solid plan, I recommend mixing in some 400m repeats at your 5K pace, and don't forget to include rest days. Your body will thank you later.

Just don't neglect strength training in your routine. It complements running well and helps prevent injuries. You could even consider a program like 5/3/1 if you want to mix it up with some heavy lifts.

facts! If you're looking for a solid run plan without the long grind, try doing 3-4 shorter runs a week mixed with some HIIT sessions. That'll keep your cardio up while saving your sanity.

It's so cool to see young women focusing on running! My kids and I do short runs together, and it keeps us all fit and motivated. You could even join a local running group for some fun company!

You could also try trail running! It's like running but way more exciting with different terrains. Plus, the views are a nice bonus if you're exploring new places.
