Is r/Fitness routine a good starting point for beginners?

TL;DR: Curious if the r/Fitness routine is a good choice for beginners.

I've been thinking about starting the r/Fitness routine since I'm super new to lifting and a bit intimidated by the gym. I want something structured but not too overwhelming, you know? For anyone who has tried it, do you think it's worth it? What were your experiences like?

I've seen beginners thrive on the r/Fitness routine. I personally started with a program that had clear progression, and it kept me motivated. If you feel overwhelmed, maybe start with two to three days a week, and ease into it.

100% agree with the structure part! I started lifting while juggling classes and meal prepping. Having a routine that lays everything out really helped me manage my time better. Just remember to take it easy at first, and listen to your body.

Honestly, routines can be a double-edged sword. They're great until you feel boxed in. Just keep a flexible mindset, and don't be afraid to switch things up if you start feeling drained. Lifting should be a release, not just another chore.

True, but some structure helps with consistency. I've seen folks flounder without it. And about tracking, it doesn't have to be super complicated. Just write down what you eat and check in weekly. You'll see progress

Ngl, the routine is solid, but if you hate cardio, you might not enjoy some parts. Just remember to lift heavy and avoid treadmill time. You'll be fine as long as you focus on your goals and not the bro-sweat.

My advice? Skip the gym anxiety and just dive in. You can start with bodyweight stuff or the r/Fitness routine. Your only competition is yourself. Just don't forget to enjoy the process, or else you'll end up running from cardio, like I do.

The r/Fitness routine can be a solid starting point. It's structured, which helps if you're feeling lost, but I suggest pairing it with some good tracking. Try MyFitnessPal or MacroFactor to keep an eye on your intake. It really makes a difference.

I started my journey with some basic lifting and protein pancakes. It was a great way to track macros while enjoying my meals. I recommend making it fun, experiment with flavors and toppings. Meal prep can get boring fast!

If you're looking into supplements down the road, creatine mono is a no-brainer. It can help with your lifts and recovery. Just keep in mind, not every supplement is necessary at the start. Focus on your diet first, then build from there.
