What are your strategies for breaking through plateaus on the Texas Method?

TL;DR: Looking for tips to break through plateaus on the Texas Method.

I've been using the Texas Method for about 3 months now, and I've hit a plateau on my squat and bench press. I track everything meticulously and my lifts feel stagnant despite following the deload and volume cycles. I was considering tweaking my accessory work or maybe increasing my volume on the lighter days. What strategies have you found effective for pushing past plateaus on this program? Any tips on adjusting rep schemes or programming to get things moving again would be great!

Sometimes a good deload can be underrated. I hit a plateau a while back, took a week off, and came back feeling like a beast! It's amazing how recovery can actually help lift your lifts.

Plateaus are rough, but tweaking your accessory work can make a difference. I've found that increasing my volume on lighter days helped break through my squats. Just make sure to track your RPE so you don't overdo it and end up burned out.

I get that feeling! It's like my weights were stuck on a broken record. I tried switching up my grip on bench press and it felt like a whole new world. Sometimes little tweaks work wonders!

NGL, if you aren't tracking your progress, it's like throwing darts blindfolded. You gotta know your numbers! Also, don't forget about creatine and solid sleep, those are crucial for recovery and strength gains.

100% agree with increasing your volume on lighter days! Also, try incorporating some pause squats or tempo work to build strength in those weak points. It's all about hitting those PRs, fam.

This is all solid advice! I've been using a conjugate method to mix things up. Changing the types of lifts and focusing on speed work has been so refreshing and effective for breaking through my plateaus.

Yeah, exactly! Sometimes you just need to reframe your approach. I also found keeping a detailed training log really helps highlight where I need to improve. Can't fix what you don't track.

Definitely consider adding more variety to your accessory work! I changed my routine to include some unilateral exercises, and it really helped strengthen my stability and overall lifts. Give it a shot!

Skill issue! Kidding, but you're probably just pushing too hard. Don't forget to let yourself recover. Sometimes less is more, and you might surprise yourself after taking it easy for a bit!

When i hit plateaus, I usually switch up my rep schemes. I went from 5x5 to 8x3 for a bit and it felt like my lifts got a fresh start. It's like giving your muscles a new puzzle to solve!

For real, plateaus can be annoying but they usually just mean your body is adapting! I started tracking my macros more closely and made sure I was eating enough. That was a big help for me.
