What's the best Trader Joe's protein product for the money?

I've been hitting Trader Joe's lately to stock up on protein sources and I'm trying to figure out which ones give the best macros per dollar. I've seen some decent options like their chicken and Greek yogurt, but I want to rank them and see where my money goes the furthest. Anyone have a solid list or recommendations? What's your go-to for maximizing protein intake without breaking the bank?

Lol, frozen edamame? Really? You're just trying to avoid the meat sweats. I get it, but my go-to is still their chicken thighs. Way more flavor and they're super filling. Plus, my kid loves them, so it's a win-win. I guess I just like to keep my protein sources simple, but do what works for you!

I've been on the hunt for affordable protein sources too. Trader Joe's Greek yogurt is definitely a winner for the macros and price. You get around 15 grams of protein per serving for just a couple of bucks, and it fits well into smoothies or as a snack. If you're looking for something a little different, their canned tuna is also a solid choice. Super versatile and packed with protein. I use it in salads or on whole-grain crackers. Hope that gives you some ideas!

100% agree about the Greek yogurt! It's a staple in my diet, especially before races. I mix it with some berries and granola for breakfast or a snack. Their protein bars are decent too if you're in a pinch, but I usually prefer whole foods. How often do you hit Trader Joe's for meal prep?

Yeah, the chicken strips are great, but I think the frozen edamame might be underrated. You get about 8 grams of protein per serving and they're super easy to cook. Just steam them in the microwave, and they can be a quick side or snack. Not everything has to be meat, right? Plus, it's a good source of fiber too.

I love cooking with Trader Joe's products! Their frozen grilled chicken strips are super convenient, and you get a good amount of protein per serving too. I toss them into stir-fries or salads for a quick meal. You can also make a great chicken salad with some Greek yogurt instead of mayo, which keeps the protein high while cutting down on calories. For those who are vegetarian, the quinoa and black bean bites are pretty tasty and loaded with protein as well. Have you tried those?

For those tracking macros, I find that the nutrition labels at Trader Joe's are pretty straightforward, which makes it easier to log everything. Their canned beans are a good option too if you want plant-based protein. You can mix them into almost anything, plus they're budget-friendly. Honestly, I track everything on MacroFactor and it makes hitting my protein goals so much easier. Do you all use any apps for tracking?
