Is B12 from plants as effective as from animal sources? Need some clarity.

I've been diving into my nutrition lately, focusing on my macros and overall food quality. I recently switched to more plant-based options and I keep hearing mixed reviews about vitamin B12 sources. For those who have been tracking this for the last six months, have you noticed any differences in energy or recovery using plant-based B12 vs animal sources? What are your thoughts on the effectiveness? Looking for some real-world experiences here.

I think it's pretty personal, honestly. I went vegan and take a B12 supplement, and I've seen gains in my energy and performance! It's all about how your body responds. Plus, I track everything on Cronometer, and it's been helpful to monitor my levels.

Ngl, I tried going plant-based for a month and my energy went down the drain. Tracking my intake on MFP was a grind but helpful. As soon as I added back B12, I felt way better. Just remember to keep those levels in check or you might end up like me, struggling to lift even the bar!

this, facts! B12 from animal sources is usually better absorbed. I've been tracking my macros on MacroFactor and noticed my energy dips when I skip out on my supplements. It's essential for recovery too, man.

You can't just replace animal sources with plants and expect the same results. B12 from animals is more bioavailable, so you're missing out. I mean, I've been doing calisthenics for years and noticed a dip in my performance when I didn't keep up with my B12. Just saying.

Bro, there's no competition here. Animal sources are top-tier for B12 absorption, period. I deadlifted 500 lbs last week, and I don't plan on sacrificing my nutrition just to go fully plant-based. Stick with what works for you, fam.

Honestly, most plant sources don't provide B12 at all. I rely on fortified foods and supplements for my B12, and I've noticed my energy levels have been way more consistent since I started that. Don't sleep on your B12, it's crucial!

Gotta agree with the others here, it's tricky. I've been lifting for a while and switched to a more plant-based diet, but I supplement my B12 to keep my levels up. Keeping a solid home gym setup helps too, since I can track my recovery and energy better at home.
