What are the best Taco Bell options for cutting? Got some surprising finds!

TL;DR: Looking for Taco Bell options that work for cutting. Any surprising macro-friendly finds?

I've been deep into cutting for the past few weeks, and honestly, I'm getting pretty bored with my usual meal prep. I'm an endurance runner, so I'm still trying to hit my protein targets while keeping calories in check. I know Taco Bell isn't exactly known for being macro-friendly, but I've stumbled upon some items that actually fit my needs surprisingly well.

For example, the Power Menu Veggie Bowl without the rice is like 290 calories, 16g protein, and pretty solid fiber. I was expecting a disaster, but that's not bad! Also, the Chicken Soft Taco (fresco style) clocks in around 150 calories with 10g protein, which means I can have a couple and still stay on track.

Has anyone else found hidden gems at Taco Bell for cutting? Any insights on macros or meal combos that work for you? Would love to hear what you guys have discovered!

I hear you, but I think it's possible to eat out while still making good choices. As a vegan lifter, I usually get the Veggie Power Bowl too, but I load it with extra veggies and guac. It's filling and fits my macros well. Plus, don't sleep on their black bean options; they're underrated for protein!

You can't be serious about Taco Bell being a cutting option. It's like saying McDonald's is healthy. Just hit the gym harder and skip the fast food, dude.

Honestly, I think you're overcomplicating it. Taco Bell isn't designed for cutting, so just stick with whole foods. You can find better protein sources elsewhere, man.

I get what you're saying, but sometimes u need convenience! After a long day, Taco Bell feels like a treat without all the guilt if you plan it right. I mean, it's all about balance, right? You can totally make it work!

I get that Taco Bell isn't the go-to for cutting, but your finds are solid. The Power Menu Veggie Bowl is actually one of the better options on their menu. If you ditch the rice, you're saving calories while still getting decent protein and fiber. I've tracked my macros with MyFitnessPal and it really helps in situations like this, especially when eating out

For tracking macros, I switched to Cronometer, and it's been a game-changer for me. It has way more food options and better macro breakdowns. I track everything down to the last gram, and it really keeps me in check even when I'm grabbing fast food.

Omg, that Power Menu Veggie Bowl is such a lifesaver! I've been experimenting with their Fresco items too, like the Chicken Soft Taco you mentioned. They are so low-cal but taste good enough to satisfy cravings. Also, try adding a side of black beans! It's a great way to boost protein without blowing your calorie budget.

I mean, I guess some people can make it work, but I'd rather eat my homemade chicken and veggies than take that gamble with fast food. Meal prep is life! 馃槀

Lowkey, I never thought Taco Bell could fit into my plan, but now I'm curious. I usually stick to protein shakes after lifting, but I might try a taco after a run. What's the best combo for post-workout recovery?

I never thought I'd say this, but Taco Bell has saved me from a meal prep meltdown. 馃槀 I can whip out a couple of soft tacos and feel like I'm indulging, but I'm still within my calorie range. Between work and parenting, fast options that don't wreck my diet are essential.
