Retail job + cutting: how to nail those macros?

TL;DR: Need tips for hitting macros while working 8-hour retail shifts during my cutting phase.

So, I'm on this cutting phase and working 8-hour shifts as a retail worker, standing all day. Anyone else in the same boat? I've been tracking my macros like a hawk, but sometimes I feel like I'm losing the plot with meal timing and energy levels. Ngl, I can't just munch on chicken and broccoli all day, what are some quick, high-protein options that can fit in my bag? Also, how do you all deal with those snack cravings when you're on ur feet all day? This is tougher than I thought, fr.

Also, don't underestimate the power of making protein pancakes! They're super easy to whip up and can be frozen for the week. Plus, they can be sweet or savory, depending on your mood! I toss in some protein powder and Greek yogurt, and they hit the spot every time

Bro, I get it. Retail can be tough on energy levels while cutting. I pack things like turkey jerky, Greek yogurt cups, and those protein bars that don't taste like cardboard. Just remember to keep your water bottle filled, too. Staying hydrated helps curb those snack cravings.

Look, cutting doesn't mean you have to suffer. There are great high-protein snacks out there besides chicken and broccoli. Try edamame, tuna packets, or even high-protein muffins. Just watch the macros, but don't be afraid to mix it up a little.

Facts! I used to work retail while cutting, and it was a struggle. My go-to was making mini meals in advance, like chicken wraps with veggies. When snack cravings hit, I'd reach for nuts or a piece of fruit to keep it healthy. Just keep it real with yourself about what works.

Yeah, I'm not convinced about those meal prep containers with chicken and broccoli every day. You'll lose your mind. Go for variety! Protein pancakes, beef jerky, and even some protein bars can do the trick. Just find what keeps you satisfied without overdoing it.

Snack cravings can be a mental game. Have you tried incorporating more bodyweight workouts into your breaks? It could help with cravings and boost your energy while on your feet. Plus, those high-protein snacks like cottage cheese cups are easy to stash in your bag.

100! Meal prepping is key, especially for those long shifts. I used to pack protein shakes or low-carb wraps with turkey and cheese. Easy to grab and go. And for cravings? I've been there too, so keep some sugar-free gum handy. It can help distract your taste buds.
