So I ate 2400 kcal for 22 weeks and ran 30mi/wk, why did my DEXA scan look the same?

TL;DR: Ate 2400 kcal and ran 30mi/wk for 22 weeks, DEXA scan results are disappointing.

Real talk, I've been grinding for 22 weeks, eating 2400 kcal while running 30 miles a week, and my DEXA scan looks like I just joined the gym yesterday. Like, what gives? I thought I'd be shredded by now, but all I got was a strong urge to eat more snacks after my kid goes to bed. Anyone else feel like their body just doesn't get the memo when you're doing everything right? I swear, my body has a mind of its own. 馃槀

Real talk, I had a similar experience. I was eating clean, running, lifting, and felt like nothing was changing. I was like, am I even doing this right? Turns out, my body was holding onto the fat for dear life. 馃槀

The issue might be your training intensity or recovery. If your body isn't recovering well, it can hold onto fat. Try mixing in some bodyweight work or calisthenics. It can give u a fresh stimulus! And those running miles matter too. Make sure you aren't overdoing it.

Bro, carbs can be your friend! I switched to higher carb intake while cutting, and my body responded way better. It's not just about calories but also the macros. Maybe try tracking those closely for a bit?

I get that frustration. I was in a similar boat last year. I was running 25-30 miles a week and eating around 2300 kcal, yet the scale barely budged. Sometimes, your body just needs more time or it's fighting back against change.

It's crucial to track your macros precisely. I recommend using an app like MacroFactor. It adjusts your targets based on your progress, which can be super helpful. Just eating 2400 kcal isn't enough if you're not hitting the right macro splits. Try that and see how it goes

This feels like a dad life moment. 馃槀 I swear, when I think I'm being healthy, I'm still sneaking snacks after the kids are in bed. Gotta stay strong for the little ones, right? But, yeah, it's frustrating when you're grinding and don't see the results.

Yep, I've been there too. Sometimes you think you're doing everything right, but your body just won't cooperate. Have you thought about taking a break from the routine? A deload week or switching up your workouts can make a difference.
