Has anyone else noticed a big boost in mental health from running?

TL;DR: Running has really helped my mental health, and I'm curious if others feel the same

So I've been running consistently for the last year, and honestly, it's been like a lifeline for my mental health. I used to feel super anxious and overwhelmed, but hitting the pavement really helps clear my mind. Just this week, I ran my first 10K and felt so accomplished, not just physically but mentally too. Anyone else experience this kind of shift? Ngl, it feels amazing to finally find something that works for me.

Running can really do wonders for mental health! I'm a calisthenics girl, but I still love going for a jog every now and then. Just the rhythm of your feet hitting the pavement can clear your mind and boost those endorphins.

Facts! I was surprised how much running helped my mental state. I track my runs on Strava, and just hitting new distances keeps me motivated. Getting that dopamine hit from completing a run is real

I get the love for running! I started running as a dad-bod challenge and it turned into a family thing. My kids love joining me on short runs, and it's a great way to bond. Plus, who doesn't love fresh air?

I feel you, bro. Running has saved me a few times too. I used to get super anxious, and now I just lace up and hit the road. It's like therapy, but cheaper.

Yesss! I love hearing this. I remember my first 10K too, felt like I was on top of the world. If running gives you a boost, keep crushing it! It's so rewarding.

Congrats on the 10K! It's awesome how running builds both physical and mental strength. If you're feeling accomplished now, wait until you tackle a half marathon! Food-wise, I find fueling up with whole grains and lean proteins really helps with recovery too.

Running to clear your mind? That's dope! I prefer munching on snacks while I marathon-watch shows. Who has time for cardio when you can chill? 馃槀

Running's great, but don't get too carried away. Overtraining can lead to injuries, and then what? You can't run if you're hurt. Just saying.

Running? No thanks! I'll stick to lifting weights, where I can actually see my gains. Cardio is just not it for me.

As a busy mom, I don't always get time to run, but when I do, it's pure bliss. I try to sneak in short runs between errands. If running helps you feel grounded, go for it! Just make sure you're balancing it with enough rest.

Running is cool and all, but have you tried keto with your cardio? I swear, running feels even better when you're in ketosis! Just saying.

Running really does have profound effects on mental health. i've had clients who were struggling with anxiety and found that regular running helped them immensely. It's not just about the physical aspect; it's also about getting into a routine and focusing on breathing.
