Is rowing on the erg really that serious for cardio training?
i've been lifting for about four years now, but im just starting to take rowing on the erg seriously for cardio. I've always loved the idea of mixing things up, but I've been skeptical about how effective it really is compared to running or cycling. I know it works a lot of muscles and I can feel it in my core, but I'm curious if anyone else has had solid results from incorporating the erg into their routine.
I've been focusing on my recovery as well, making sure to stretch after each session and staying on top of hydration and nutrition. It feels great to get that full-body workout in, but I want to make sure I'm not just wasting my time. Are there specific workouts or techniques you all recommend for maximizing erg sessions? Also, any tips on balancing it with my lifting schedule would be super helpful. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
