Anyone else on cholesterol meds and wondering about supps interactions?

TL;DR: Looking for info on interactions between cholesterol meds and common supplements.

So i've been lifting for a few years and trying to get the most out of my supps, but now I'm on cholesterol meds and lowkey freaking out about how it might mess with my creatine and other stuff. Like, I love my beta-alanine and fish oil, but are there any known interactions that I should watch for?

Anyone got some wisdom or experience with this? I'm not tryna get cooked by my own stack.

Honestly, if you're on statins, maybe skip the supps and just lift heavy? Just focus on getting your body right. You don't want to risk it!

There's not much evidence suggesting that creatine or beta-alanine mess with cholesterol meds. Just make sure you're hydrating enough! High creatine doses can stress the kidneys, so balance is key.

Facts! Just watch your numbers. You don't want your cholesterol to be like my PR, nonexistent! LOL.

You might also want to keep track of your omega-3 intake if you're on cholesterol meds. They can help with inflammation and may even aid in lowering bad cholesterol. Just don't go overboard.

I mean, my cholesterol's always been through the roof and I still take supps. I guess if you're not feeling great, maybe re-evaluate? It's like, what's the point of lifting if you feel like trash? Just saying.

If you notice anything off, like weird fatigue or cramping, definitely check in with your doc. I've seen folks have issues with energy levels when mixing supps with meds.

You got this! Just track your macros and stay aware. Remember, lifting is a marathon, not a sprint. Health first, gains second.

You know, I've been lifting for a decade and been on meds for a while. What really helped me was just staying consistent with my diet. Instead of relying solely on supps, focus on whole foods! They can make a huge difference.

That's fair! Just do a quick reassessment of your goals. If you're not hitting your numbers, could be worth taking a break from the supps just to see how you feel. Gotta listen to your body!

I'm just here for the gains and the pizza! But for real, I would chill on the supps if you feel weird. Better to be safe than sorry. Maybe just crush some whole foods for a while instead.

Right! Just keep your goals realistic. Your body is already adjusting to meds, so let it settle in before stacking on supps. Maybe lower the doses for now

bro, I feel you. Meds can be a real buzzkill! But like, creatine is usually chill with most stuff. Just keep an eye on your liver values, and you should be good to go.

I've been on statins for a couple years, and my doc said my supps are fine. Fish oil is actually good for heart health, so keep it in your stack! Just listen to your body and monitor how you feel.

This slaps. If your health is on point, the gains will come! Just stay savage, my dude.

As a runner, I'd suggest sticking to basics while on meds. Your body needs to adapt. If you're unsure, maybe check with a doc or a sports nutritionist about your supps. They might have better insights!

Just throwing this out there, but as a vegan, I love flaxseed oil for omega-3s. It's a great alternative to fish oil if you're looking for a different route!

Yeah, im just saying. Sometimes the simpler, the better. Meds can complicate things, so why not focus on solid meals and your lifting instead? You don't want to end up like me, plateauing hard!

Honestly, when I started taking meds, my gains didn't drop. I still take protein, creatine, and some pre-workout. Just be cautious and adjust your dosages if anything feels off!
