Purple vs Tempur-Pedic, anyone tried both?

TL;DR: Looking for opinions on Purple vs Tempur-Pedic mattresses for better sleep and recovery.

I've been lifting for 3 years and know how crucial recovery is, but I'm torn between getting a Purple mattress or a Tempur-Pedic. I've heard great things about the Purple's hyper-elastic polymer and airflow, but Tempur-Pedic has that classic memory foam vibe that sounds comfy too. Anyone here actually tried both? Which one helped you get that deep sleep and killer recovery? I'm ready to invest but need some real opinions.

I tried both and ended up with a Purple mattress. The airflow is a game changer, especially during the hot summer nights. I usually sleep like a rock after a tough workout. It just felt more supportive for me compared to the Tempur-Pedic.

Honestly, I didn't vibe with the Tempur-Pedic. It felt too soft for my liking, and I need that firmness for my back after squats. The Purple has more bounce, which I prefer since I toss and turn a lot. 100% personal preference though

I get the struggle, man. Just like in lifting, there are so many opinions about mattresses, and sometimes it just feels like a roll of the dice. I tried a Tempur-Pedic and felt like I was sinking. You might end up tossing and turning more than you'd like.

i went with Tempur-Pedic a couple years back, but I find it too warm and dense for my liking. For recovery, I need something that allows my body to breathe. If you're lifting hard, maybe look at reviews about how they handle sweat and heat.

This is a tough choice. I mean, who knew mattress shopping could feel like a marathon? I still can't get over how expensive both are. You're basically choosing between sleep and a new gym membership.

i've had a Tempur-Pedic for about five years, and it's been a dream for recovery. The way it contours to your body really helps with back pain after heavy lifts. I can't speak for the Purple, but I'd say the Tempur-Pedic has served me well, especially after my 1RM attempts.

I deal with chronic pain, and I found the Purple really helps. I sleep more soundly and wake up feeling less stiff. The support it gives is worth it, especially if you're lifting heavy. But you should definitely try them out before buying!

I've been on a Purple for a year and love it! It really helps me with my recovery and keeps me cool at night. Plus, my back feels way better than when I used a traditional mattress. No complaints here.
