AC at 65 vs 68: Is there really a difference in sleep score?

TL;DR: Curious if setting the AC to 65 instead of 68 actually improves sleep score.

I've been tracking my sleep with my Oura ring and noticed my score fluctuates when I tweak the AC settings. Going from 68 to 65 feels cooler, but does it really impact my sleep quality? Naps are awesome, but I don't want to sacrifice deep sleep for a few degrees. Anyone else feel a major difference when changing the temp? Just trying to optimize my recovery here!

i feel like I get better naps in a cooler room too! But I also drink a ton of water before bed, so maybe that's why I wake up refreshed. Just gotta balance it out, ya know?

Temperature can greatly influence sleep, but the psychological aspect matters too. If you believe that a cooler room equals better sleep, you might experience that as a self-fulfilling prophecy. I've had nights where the temp was perfect, but my mind was racing, and sleep was still elusive. Mindfulness and routine can really play a big role.

Temperature is only one factor. Things like your sleep routine, diet, and stress levels all contribute to recovery. I'd suggest experimenting with both temps while monitoring your overall lifestyle. Consistency is key, but don't forget about the environment. Plus, a good pillow can work wonders.

I've worked night shifts for years and sleep quality is everything. When I drop the temp to 65, I feel like I'm in a sleep cocoon! My Oura ring always shows better REM sleep too, so I think there's something to it.

Honestly, I can't tell the difference. I usually sleep at 68, but once I accidentally left the AC at 62. I woke up thinking I was in an icebox! Maybe I'm just not sensitive to temp changes.

this. I tried sleeping at 65 once and it felt like I was wrapped in a death blanket. Never again. Guess I'm just a hot sleeper.
