Is recomp at 50 really possible? Looking for thoughts and progress photos!

TL;DR: Curious if recomp at 50 is realistic. Lost 15 lbs in a year and seeking motivation.

I'm 32 and have been focusing on my fitness journey for a while now. I've seen some changes in my body composition, but I'm curious if recomp at 50 is realistic. I've dropped from 150 lbs to 135 lbs over the past year, with my lifts improving as well. Anyone here had success with recomp or seen changes later in life? Would love to see some progress photos for motivation!

I'm a bit skeptical of all these new AI apps like Nutrola or CalAI. Honestly, I've stuck with MFP for years because it's what I know. Plus, I've dialed in my food list and don't want to learn something new. But I get why others are curious about the new features.

Ngl, recomp at 50 might be a stretch but it's not impossible. I saw my uncle get jacked in his late 50s after he dropped all the processed junk. You're already off to a solid start with your weight drop and lift improvements, so keep pushing.

I think recomp is possible at any age, especially if you're focusing on nutrition and strength training. It's about the right balance of protein and strength work. I've worked with clients in their 50s who transformed their bodies with consistency and proper nutrition. Have you considered tracking your macros more closely? It could help you optimize your progress.

Absolutely! I've seen amazing transformations from people of all ages. Just remember to fuel your body with healthy foods. If you're looking for something gluten-free, I love making quinoa bowls with roasted veggies and chickpeas. It keeps me energized for my workouts!

Recomp is definitely realistic at 50, I've seen other moms in their 40s and 50s crush it! Balancing family life and workouts can be tough, but family-friendly workouts help. I just incorporate my kids into my routine. They love it, and it keeps me motivated!
