Traveling for work and keeping up with my macros, help!

TL;DR: Struggling to keep up with my protein macros while flying weekly for work. Need tips for airport food and snack ideas!

So i've been flying out every week for work, and honestly, my macro game is struggling! I try to plan ahead and track everything, but airport food is like a black hole for my nutrition. I'm trying to hit around 140g of protein daily, but I swear the only options are like sad salads and overpriced snacks. 馃槱

I've been packing protein bars and meal prepped chicken, but I can only do that for so long before it gets boring. Does anyone have tips for navigating airport food while sticking to macros? Or even some quick snack ideas that won't derail my goals? I miss cooking and actually enjoying my meals, but this travel grind is tough. Thanks, everyone!

I hear you, traveling for work can really throw a wrench in your nutrition. When I was on the road for races, I'd bring my own meals in a cooler bag. I packed turkey wraps with plenty of veggies, and some Greek yogurt for protein. Airports have gotten better with food choices, though. Sometimes you can find grilled chicken or protein bowls if you look hard enough. It's all about being prepared and making smart choices when you're there. Just don't stress too much about it, balance is key!

Skill issue, honestly. Airports are the worst, but it's about survival. Next time, try to hit the airport early and scope out the options. It's wild how many people just grab a donut and call it a day. And yeah, protein bars are kinda boring, but it's better than eating nothing. Just keep mixing it up with whatever u can find. Keep grinding!

I feel you! It can be tough to find options that fit your macros while traveling. I try to scope out places with fresh salads or grilled options, like Chipotle or Panera, if they have one. You can build a decent protein-packed meal there. If all else fails, I've been known to hit up grocery stores and grab some deli meats or yogurt. It's not gourmet, but it works in a pinch!

i totally get it! Traveling can be such a struggle for keeping up with macros. I've been in your shoes, and it's rough when airport food is just sad options. One thing I found super helpful is planning my meals with a mix of convenience and fun. I started bringing pre-portioned protein pancakes that are easy to make and pack. You can even make them savory with some cheese or veggies! They keep things fresh and are super high in protein. Plus, you get to enjoy them instead of boring chicken every day.

Facts! But like, who wants a boring salad every day? LOL. I say try packing some more interesting snacks! How about protein balls? Super easy to make at home with oats, protein powder, nut butter, and a few chocolate chips for sweetness. They're small, packable, and way better than the dry airport snacks. Plus, they give you that energy boost u need! 馃崼

Dude, this is a common struggle. Airports are like a food desert. My go-to is a few meals prepped in Tupperware, you can sneak them in sometimes if you don't have to go through security too deep. Also, protein bars are dope, but you gotta check those macros. Some are just glorified candy bars. But hey, if u can get a protein shake somewhere, that can be a quick fix too. You got this, bro!

Honestly, u're overthinking this. Airport food is overpriced and generally junk. Just go for the basic stuff. Grab a chicken salad or even a protein shake if they have it. As for snacks, nuts and beef jerky are solid options that won't derail your macros. Just keep it simple and avoid those overpriced granola bars.
