Any mountain biking technique YT channels that won't make me cry?

TL;DR: Looking for good YouTube channels for mountain biking technique.

I've been trying to learn some sick skills for mountain biking but the YouTube rabbit hole is overwhelming. I keep watching videos, and it's just a bunch of guys jumping off cliffs while I'm over here just trying not to faceplant. Any recommendations for channels that actually teach stuff without making me question my life choices?

this slaps. Mountain biking is a vibe, and you don't need to jump off cliffs to enjoy it. Just take your time and find the fun parts of riding, like the snacks afterward.

I hear you. Some channels make it look like you need to be an adrenaline junkie just to ride. But honestly, has anyone checked out 'Skill Serpent'? They have a lot of breakdowns for beginners that might help. It's all about progression, not just jumping off cliffs.

Facts, u don't need to be a daredevil to enjoy biking. Just find a chill trail and work your way up. Nothing beats cruising through nature, even if it's at a snail's pace. Plus, who knows, maybe those cliffs will call you one day?

Ngl, I've been following 'Bike Skills 101' for some time now. They focus on fundamental techniques like braking and balance. Super helpful and you don't feel like you're risking your life just watching it. Plus, their slow-mo breakdowns really help you visualize what you should be doing!

I totally get where you're coming from. I fell down the YouTube rabbit hole trying to learn some mountain biking skills too. At one point, I found a channel that focused on the basics, just riding over obstacles and cornering techniques. Their videos made it feel less intimidating, like they were talking to a friend rather than trying to show off. It's called 'MTB Skills' or something. Check it out, it might save you from faceplanting like I did a few times.

Honestly, mountain biking feels so freeing, like you're flying down the trail. You could also pair it with some good snacks afterward; I always pack a little something to refuel. Check out some local trails, it's a great way to find your rhythm without the pressure of cliff jumping. Plus, who doesn't love a good post-ride snack?

I get that feeling! The best part is you don't need fancy gear to learn. Just grab a used bike, and look for local trails or parks where u can practice. Plus, hit up 'Trail Boss' on YouTube; they do a lot of affordable gear reviews and tips. Just don't go too hard and eat shit like I did on my first ride.

I love MTB but the 'crazy cliff jumpers' definitely make it look way harder than it is. Like, not all of us are trying to become the next Danny MacAskill. Honestly, start with the basics and gradually build up. Find your comfort zone before you think about jumping off stuff. Progress, not perfection.

Mountain biking can be such a beautiful experience. Sometimes, we get caught up in the thrill-seeking aspect of it. Focus on enjoying the ride, breathe in the fresh air, and let the trails teach you. You don't have to be the best, just be present in the moment. It's about finding joy in movement, you know?

Honestly, anyone who's just starting out and thinks they can jump off cliffs is in for a world of pain. It's like expecting to bench 300 pounds on your first try. Just focus on building skills at your own pace, and don't let those crazies discourage you. You don't need to be reckless to enjoy biking.

You know, I used to feel the same way about mountain biking. I was watching these extreme sports videos, and it really made me question if I was cut out for it. But then I found 'Global Mountain Bike Network' which has some great beginner tips. Just remember, everyone starts somewhere, even the cliff jumpers.
