Why do I hate long runs so much? Is there a program that won't make me suffer?

TL;DR: Looking for running programs that focus on short sprints instead of long runs.

So I've been running for like 2 years now, and honestly, long runs feel like torture. I'm all about those short sprints, but every program I see has me clocking in miles that make me want to crawl into bed instead. Are there legit programs for people who want to avoid the misery of long runs? Am I just weak? Help a tired girl out

Long runs aren't for everyone, and that's okay! Try a program like GZCL where you can focus on shorter distances but still build endurance. It's all about finding what works best for you, so keep experimenting. You'll find your groove.

Listen, long runs can suck, but they build endurance like nothing else. That said, if you hate them, don't force it. Maybe alternate with HIIT workouts? Get your heart pumping without the monotony. You can definitely build your stamina another way.

Lowkey, I feel you. I tried long runs once and was like, 'Nope, never again.' Switching to shorter, more intense runs kept me motivated. 100% agree with trying something new. It's about having fun with your workouts!

Honestly, long runs are just a form of torture for some of us. I'd rather do sprints any day, way more fun and less time-consuming. If you find a program that skips long runs, let me know. I'm tired of feeling like I'm dragging my feet through quicksand

Have you tried focusing on interval training? It's like sprinting but with some rest in between. Plus, it can really help with speed and endurance without that long run dread. And hey, plant-based protein sources like lentils or quinoa can fuel those sprints too!

Did someone say long runs? I don't think so! I'm all about quick workouts, and honestly, I found a 5K training plan that had me doing tempo runs instead of long runs. Just enough to keep my energy up while still feeling accomplished!

I get it, long runs can feel like punishment. Have you considered joining a running group? Sometimes the social aspect can make it more enjoyable. Plus, I have some great recipes for post-run recovery snacks that can help motivate you to get through the miles!

Facts, long runs can feel like a marathon of boredom. Switch it up with shorter, intense sessions. I find a good espresso right before helps keep the energy up too. More sprinting, less suffering!

You hate long runs? I hate my life some days, but here we are! Seriously though, I used to dread them too. Start with run/walk intervals and build from there. Just think about the post-run snacks. Sometimes that's what gets me through
