How many rest days should I take as a newbie?

So, I just hit the gym for the first time and I'm like, 'Do I need to rest or can I lift every day?' I'm pretty sure my muscles are gonna be sore as hell tomorrow, but do I need to chill for a bit or what? Like, is there a sweet spot for rest days, or is it just trial and error? Asking for a friend, lol.

bro, you don't wanna be that guy who gets wrecked on day two. take at least 1-2 rest days, trust me, your gains will thank u. don't skip leg day, but don't skip rest either!

Good question! I'd say start with 1-2 rest days. When I first started lifting, I pushed too hard and ended up with soreness that lingered way too long. Learning to balance workout intensity with recovery was key for me.

I remember when I was a newbie, I thought I could do it all every day too. Now I know my best performances come after good rest! Take it easy and enjoy the journey.

Rest days are super important, especially for newbies. Muscles need time to recover and grow stronger. I usually take 2-3 rest days per week, and it makes a huge difference in how I feel and perform at the gym.

As a busy professional, I lift about 4x a week. A day of rest in between workouts really helps with recovery and keeps me from burning out. Listen to your body and take rest when you need it.

If you're lifting every day, you might hit a plateau or even risk injury. Better to start smart and take those rest days! You can still keep active with light cardio or mobility work on your off days.

Rest days are as crucial as workout days. I do calisthenics and focus on active recovery like stretching or yoga on my off days. Your body will thank you later, trust me.

As a dad, i get it. Finding the right balance is key. I lift hard but take those rest days seriously. Also, family time counts as active recovery, right? Just don't neglect those days off!

Lmao, just don't be the guy who thinks he's invincible. I tried that once and ended up too sore to even play my games, bro! Chill out with those rest days.
