How do I get over that awkward look I got on day 1?

TL;DR: Got a judgmental look on day 1 at the gym and I'm feeling intimidated. How do I shake it off?

So, I hit the gym for the first time, feeling all pumped and ready to lift. Then, out of nowhere, some dude shot me this judgmental look while I was figuring out the machines. Total buzzkill, right? Now I'm kinda scared to go back. Any tips for shaking off the intimidation and just getting to work? Also, anyone got a solid recipe for post-workout grub? Need something to fuel my comeback!

That judgmental look? Yeah, that happens to everyone at some point. The gym can feel intimidating, but most people are too focused on their own workouts to care about what you're doing. Just keep showing up, you'll build confidence over time.

Lol, just laugh it off, bro. Like, who cares what some dude thinks? You're there to grind, not impress.

Facts. That dude probably thinks he's a gym god, but he's just another dude lifting weights. Plus, check this out, post-workout I always go for a protein smoothie with frozen fruit and oats, super easy and tasty!

You know what else helps? Tracking your macros. Keeps your focus on your gains rather than on the stares. MacroFactor is pretty dope for that, but even pen and paper works!

i remember my first gym experience, feeling super awkward too. I whipped up a quinoa salad with chickpeas for recovery that day, super filling and packed with protein! Just don't be too hard on yourself.

It's tough out there, but you gotta remember that everyone started somewhere. im vegan, so I love a good chickpea salad with tahini post-workout. It's delish and full of nutrients!

Remember that dude? He probably has his own insecurities. Just focus on what you want to achieve, not on others. Plus, if you're lifting heavy, you need that good post-workout nutrition. Gotta take care of those gains!

It's all about recovery. If you're nervous about going back, try to find a buddy to hit the gym with. It'll help ease that intimidation, and trust me, the more you go, the more you'll get comfortable

The gym culture can be rough, but most people are just trying to better themselves. If you ever feel awkward, focus on what you can control: your workout and your mindset. And don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it.

Definitely agree about tracking macros. I personally use Cronometer. It helps keep me accountable, but if that's not your thing, intuitive eating can be effective too. Just find what works for you.

Honestly, running is overrated anyway. I've been hitting the weights more, and the looks don't bother me anymore. Just focus on your form and what you're trying to accomplish. You'll get in the zone

This is a skill issue, just gotta hit the gym more and get used to it. Embrace the grind, fam. Just don't skip leg day.
