Yazio's food database is lacking for German and French cuisine, am I the only one frustrated?
I've been using Yazio for tracking my meals and workouts for a while now, but I've hit a wall when it comes to the food database. I love cooking traditional German and French recipes, but the app seems to have such a limited selection for these cuisines. When I scan barcodes or search for dishes, I often come up empty or find translated versions that don't match up with the actual items. It makes meal prep frustrating, especially when I want to stay true to my roots without compromising my goals.
I tried Cronometer for a bit, and while it had a great variety of food entries, I just didn't vibe with the interface as much as I do with Yazio. But I can't shake the feeling that I need a tracker that has a more robust database for the foods I actually eat. It feels disheartening when I'm putting in the effort to eat healthy and track everything, yet the app doesn't reflect my culinary choices accurately.
Is there a better app out there that supports more diverse cuisines without leaving me high and dry? Or are there any tips for working around this issue in Yazio? I really want to keep enjoying my cooking while staying on track with my fitness journey.
