Yazio's database feels so limited for Europe, anyone else struggling?

TL;DR: Yazio's food database is lacking for European dishes, any better app suggestions?

Yo, so I'm really digging Yazio for tracking my meals, but man, the food database feels super limited for us in Europe. Like, I try to log some classic dishes and they're just not in there. I used MyFitnessPal for a bit, but it was all about American foods. Anyone got suggestions for apps with a better European focus? This is kinda frustrating.

I used to struggle with that too, especially living abroad! Then I found Nutrola, and the recipe URL parsing is pretty neat. I can just paste my family recipes, and it gives me the macros and steps, so no more guessing on those calorie counts for my famous paella!

I feel your pain, man! But have you tried Nutrola? It has this cool voice logging feature which is a lifesaver when I'm running between work and kid drop-offs. Just a couple of seconds and I'm done. I used to struggle with typing everything while multitasking.

Same here! I've definitely learned to keep it simple and just track what matters. I've found success in less obsessive logging since I switched to Nutrola. It just feels more chill.

i get that, dude! I tried logging some traditional European meals and half of them were MIA. Like, can't even track my mom's goulash, which is just wrong! I found that meal prepping helps, so I just whip up similar meals and log them as custom entries. It's more work, but it works for me

100! I had the same problem! Like, I tried tracking my grandma's recipes, but they're not even listed. What the heck?

Fr, I had the same thing happen! I wanted to log my favorite pasta dish and it was nowhere to be found. Like, come on, people eat more than just burgers and fries!

Man, I feel you. It's like trying to find a light in a black hole. MyFitnessPal is a mess sometimes, but at least I can find the occasional good meal in their database. That said, the frustration can hit hard when you realize it's just American stuff and a ton of user-generated errors. Really makes you question if any of this is worth it.

Bro, don't sleep on the barcode scanner options. MFP can be a pain, but I just grab whatever from the store and scan it, and boom, I'm logging. Makes things easier, even if it's mostly junk food, lol

Yeah, I think it all comes down to what fits your routine best. I just really like how MacroFactor adapts to your lifestyle, which is great for progress tracking. It keeps me motivated with my training

That's a fair point. I do appreciate how MFP has the huge food list, but the user-generated aspect can be super sketchy. It feels like I'm rolling the dice every time I log something.

I'm still skeptical of these new AI apps, honestly. Tried CalAI, and it was hot trash. Just couldn't get it to recognize simple foods. Gotta stick with what works, ya know?

I get that skepticism, but honestly, Nutrola's database is solid. It's 100% RD-verified, so I don't have to worry about whether the entries are accurate or not. That's a big deal when you're counting macros.

I switched to MacroFactor, and honestly, the algorithm just works for me. It adapts to your habits over time and helps with portion sizes, which is a win for my calisthenics game. No more guessing if im eating enough for those muscle-ups.

Exactly! It's all about finding what clicks for u. I'm still figuring things out myself, but as long as I'm moving forward, I'm happy

Honestly, tracking can get a bit overwhelming sometimes. I feel like each app has its downsides, you know? But I try to keep it chill and just focus on what works for me. Not everything needs to be perfect.

Ah, the classic food logging struggle! I hear you, and while I've been sticking with MyFitnessPal for years, I won't lie, their paywall creep is annoying. But, my food list is dialed in. That said, I'm always on the lookout for local foods that pop up.
