Is there a hands-free option for MyFitnessPal? i'm driving 12 hours and it's a nightmare.
So here i am, a truck driver, spending 12 hours on the road every day, and I decided to finally get serious about tracking my meals. MyFitnessPal has been my go-to, but let me tell you, inputting meals while trying to navigate the interstate is like trying to do calculus while skydiving. I just want a hands-free option, but it feels like I'm asking for a unicorn.
I tried using the barcode scanner feature, but it's like the database is stuck in 2010. I scanned a protein bar yesterday, and it didn't recognize it. I had to manually input the nutrition info while juggling a burrito in my other hand, there's gotta be a better way! I even looked at Lose It! for a second, but honestly, that app seemed just as clunky and my patience for manual entry is nonexistent right now.
Honestly, the paywall for premium features just adds salt to the wound. I get it, the developers gotta eat too, but do I really need to cough up extra cash for something as basic as hands-free logging? I mean, come on, I'm literally on the road all day trying to make healthier choices and I feel like I'm being punished for it.
So, is there a solution here, or am I destined to suffer through this tangled mess of nutrition tracking while battling my food cravings and trying not to hit any potholes? Anyone got tips for a driving lifter like me? I'm all ears.
