MyFitnessPal completely ignores raw vs cooked weights, anyone else over it?

TL;DR: MyFitnessPal doesn't differentiate raw and cooked weights, and I'm fed up with it.

So I'm trying to track my food with MyFitnessPal, but it's like they think raw weights and cooked weights are the same thing? Like, hello, do they not know that chicken loses water weight when it gets grilled? I'm over it! I tried Cronometer for a hot minute, but it felt like trying to read a tax form. Am I the only one getting annoyed with this? Like, I want accuracy, not a cooking show episode!

Honestly, if you're serious about accuracy, you should try Cronometer again. I get it, the interface can feel like deciphering hieroglyphics, but it's got detailed micro and macro tracking, plus the data is solid. When I switched from MFP, I was blown away by the RD-verified food database. It really helped me with my vegan meal planning. And if you ever want a recipe, I've got some tasty plant-based meals that'll make your macros sing!

You know, I used to stress about tracking every little detail, but then I discovered Nutrola. The AI photo logging is honestly a lifesaver when I'm in the kitchen prepping meals. It takes like 2 seconds to snap a pic and boom, my food is logged. As a calisthenics fanatic, I need to focus on my workout, not stressing about calories. Definitely made my life easier!

Yeah man, tracking is important, but MyFitnessPal just seems to be slacking. I love my creatine, but the app just doesn't keep up. Have you tried any other apps, like MacroFactor? I've heard that their algorithm works wonders and might actually be worth the investment.

It's a shame that so many apps overlook the importance of tracking cooked vs raw weights. I think it speaks to a broader issue with how we interact with food tracking. There's something meditative about finding balance in your diet and workout routine. Personally, I believe being mindful of what you consume should be just as important as how you move. Life is not just about counting calories; it's about nourishment.

Honestly, I've been using MyFitnessPal since the Stone Age, and yeah, their food database can get wild. But I like the familiarity. I've tried to branch out, but switching apps feels like trying to teach my kids math. It's just confusing. But I will admit, the paywall creep has been crazy lately. Maybe it's time to look at other options.

Bro, I'm all about avoiding cardio too! Honestly, MyFitnessPal just complicates everything for no reason. I tried tracking my food with it during a lifting phase, and it just felt like a chore. I've seen people raving about Nutrola's features, but I'm lowkey skeptical about AI logging. What if it messes up my portion sizes? Idk, might just stick to my simple approach.

I'm with you, bro. Tracking calories shouldn't feel like calculus. I'm just trying to eat enough to keep my lifts up and not fall into this obsessive logging trap. MyFitnessPal feels like a ticking time bomb sometimes, just waiting to mess up my meal plans. This is why I'm lowkey tempted to try something else.

Bro, I feel you on this. Like, I'm trying to get my macros on point and MyFitnessPal is like, 'Here, have some raw chicken calories for your cooked meal.' It's like, do they think I'm just tossing the whole raw bird on the grill? I mean, how am I supposed to get my gains with that kind of nonsense? Plus, it's leg day and I'm just trying to enjoy some pizza afterward without the extra hassle. Let me eat my protein pizza in peace, man!

Dude, I was just talking about this with my gym bros the other day. MFP is cool and all, but the whole raw vs cooked thing is a headache. I'm just trying to get my protein from grilled chicken and it's like MFP is living in another dimension. I've been sticking to the bro split, and I gotta say, this tracking stuff takes away from the pump, you know? You ever just want to lift and eat without the math?

I totally get where you're coming from. I've been meal prepping for years, and accuracy is everything for me as a dietitian. That's why I switched to Nutrola. The built-in recipes with macros pre-calculated save me so much time. I can focus on creating balanced meals for my family without the extra hassle of figuring out every macro myself. It's like having a personal meal planner right in my pocket.

Yep, the struggle is real. Just when you think you've got your food tracking down, MyFitnessPal throws a curveball. It's like, why even bother trying to be precise when the app doesn't care? I feel like I'm shouting into the void sometimes.

For real, man, it's all about finding the right fit. I get why some people dig the nostalgia of MFP, but all these new apps are popping up and making tracking a lot more user-friendly. Honestly, the thought of AI logging sounds kind of wild, but if it helps keep you accountable without the fuss, why not? It's worth giving it a shot.
