Knee sleeves: SBD vs Slingshot vs off-brand? What's the scoop?

TL;DR: What's the best brand for knee sleeves: SBD, Slingshot, or no brand?

I've been lifting for about 4 years and I'm finally thinking about snagging some knee sleeves for squats and deads. I've seen a lot of hype around SBD and Slingshot, but I'm not sure if they're worth the cash. I mean, can a no-name brand do the job too? Anyone have experience with these? What do you think about the durability and support levels? Looking for some real talk here.

I've used both SBD and Slingshot knee sleeves extensively. SBDs are amazing for heavy lifts, really compressive and durable. I had mine for over two years, and they still feel great. Slingshots are good too, but I found them to be a bit less supportive. If you're lifting heavy, I'd say go for SBDs. Off-brands can be hit or miss, but I've heard some decent reviews on them.

I've had an off-brand sleeve that I picked up for a low price. It works decently for support, but I notice it wears out faster than the name brands. If you're planning to lift heavy regularly, I'd invest in something more durable like SBD.

yep, this. SBDs are legit, but honestly, if u're not a powerlifter or super serious about your lifts, you might not need to drop that much cash. I got a cheap pair off Amazon, and they work just fine for my squats. You could save the cash for more protein.

Not to sound like a bro, but pizza is life! But back to knee sleeves, I had an off-brand sleeve once, and it felt like I was wearing a wet towel around my knee. Invest in quality if you want support. Just sayin'

Knee sleeves? I tried a no-name brand, and let's just say my knees were less happy than a kid in math class. SBDs are worth the cash, especially when your knees are begging for mercy after those heavy squats. Just a thought: don't skimp on support when you're lifting heavy. Or you might end up crying into your protein shake.
