How do I know if I'm overreaching with my training?

TL;DR: Feeling fatigued and unmotivated, looking for signs of overreaching.

I've been hitting my lifts pretty hard lately, but I'm starting to feel drained, like I'm running on empty. My sleep is decent, but my motivation is kinda dipping and I've got some random aches.

What are some signs of overreaching I should look out for? Should I take a deload week or just keep pushing through? Not trying to end up toast before my next PR attempt!

Man, you might be overreaching for sure. I pushed too hard once, chasing numbers, and ended up burnt out for months. Don't fall into that trap! It's way better to back off a bit and come back fresh rather than risk injury. If you're feeling random aches, take that deload. It's not worth compromising your health for a PR.

Sounds like you might be hitting that overreaching phase, friend. When my motivation dips and I start feeling drained, I usually take a step back to assess things. Random aches could be your body's way of saying it needs a break! Have you thought about a deload week? It can be super beneficial to give yourself some recovery time.

For real, I've had those moments too. I was training hard for a half marathon, and my body just said 'nope'. A deload helped me bounce back stronger! Definitely listen to your body.

Honestly, tracking your RPE (rate of perceived exertion) can help here. If you're feeling drained and your lifts are stalling, it might be time to dial it back. I did a little self-assessment with my training program, and adding a deload week turned things around for me. Just don't be afraid to take that step back!

Bro, are you trying to be a hero? Just deload! The gym isn't going anywhere. Gotta respect your body. If you keep pushing through, you might end up toast for real, and then your gains will disappear faster than my motivation on leg day. 馃槀
