Is glucosamine still relevant in 2026?

TL;DR: Wondering if glucosamine is still worth taking in 2026.

I was cleaning out my supplement drawer and came across a tub of glucosamine that's been gathering dust. I remember my dad swearing by it for his joints back in the day, but now I'm wondering if it's still worth taking or if it's just another relic of the past. Does it still hold any merit in 2026, or is it time to let it go? Anyone got the scoop?

Bruh, if it worked for your dad, it might still have some merit! But like, what do I know? I just lift and eat pizza, not a supplement expert.

Look, im no doctor, but if you've had that glucosamine since the Stone Age, it might not be doing much anymore. Just like my jokes, some things don't age well! Maybe look for a fresh alternative. 馃槀

Glucosamine used to be the go-to for joint support, but recent studies are mixed. Some folks swear by it, while others think it's just placebo. If u're looking for alternatives, check out curcumin or omega-3s. They can work wonders too.

I can see why glucosamine has its fan base, but evidence around its effectiveness is lacking. If you're dealing with joint issues, have you considered nutritional sources? Things like bone broth can be a great addition to support joint health naturally.

Honestly, I've been lifting for years and never felt like glucosamine did much for me. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer to focus on real food and getting my vitamins in through diet. Supplements are cool and all, but don't rely on them like they're magic pills.

Not gonna lie, glucosamine is kinda like that forgotten album you used to love. There are newer, more effective supplements out there. I switched to collagen and noticed way less joint pain in my knees during squats, it's a vibe
