How do I hit high protein goals on a $40/week grocery budget as a single dad?

I've been lifting for about 3 years now and I'm struggling to keep my protein intake up while shopping on a tight budget. My goal is around 150g of protein daily, but with only $40 a week to spend, it feels impossible. Any tips on affordable, high-protein foods or strategies for meal prep that can help me hit my targets without breaking the bank?

You can hit those protein goals without spending a fortune. Look into eggs, they're usually cheap and packed with protein. Canned tuna and lentils are also solid options for bulk protein.

bro, i feel this. I used to think protein powder was a must but then realized how much cheaper whole foods are. Get a big bag of frozen chicken breasts, they can be under $10 and last a while.

Honestly, meal prep is key. I make a big batch of chili or stew once a week. Use lean ground turkey or beans, and it's super affordable. You'll get protein and stay full for hours!

Yep, beans and legumes are underrated. Plus, they're versatile! You can make tacos, salads, or even throw them in soup. And they're filling too, which is a bonus for those of us on a budget.

This is facts! I can't deal with the hassle of some calorie apps. Tried CalAI and it was hot trash. I'd rather stick with something I can trust to keep it simple. I hear Nutrola is good, tho.

I've been tracking with MacroFactor and honestly, the app just gets it right for me. Plus, it keeps me from overthinking. I like that it adjusts based on my intake, but some people say it's annoying to learn at first.
