Ate at maintenance for 3 months, body comp and sanity feeling fine?
So, I decided to eat at maintenance for a solid 3 months to see what would happen, and honestly, im kinda surprised at how chill my body and mind are right now. I was expecting to feel like I was slacking or something, but instead, my lifts are still solid, and my energy is up! I thought maintenance meant no progress, but it feels more like a time for my body to stabilize and adapt.
I've been focusing on whole foods, hitting my protein goals (aiming for 1.6g/kg), and keeping my meals balanced with carbs and fats. My meal preps are super simple, lots of beans, lentils, quinoa, and tons of veggies. Nutrient timing hasn't been strict either, just keeping it real and eating when I'm hungry, which is refreshing!
Has anyone else tried this kind of maintenance phase? What's your experience been like? I'm lowkey thinking about sticking to this for a while longer if it keeps feeling this good.
