Are multivitamins really useless? I keep hearing about this new meta-analysis.

As a busy mom trying to juggle family and fitness, I've relied on multivitamins to fill gaps in my diet. But with this recent meta-analysis suggesting they don't really help, I'm feeling confused and a bit worried! I want to ensure I'm getting what I need without wasting money. Have any of you seen solid evidence on the effectiveness of multivitamins? Is there a specific demographic or situation where they might actually help? Just trying to sort through the noise here.

I get where you're coming from. As a busy mom, I've relied on multivitamins too, thinking they'd help cover any gaps. But with this new info, I'm definitely reevaluating. It's so hard to get all the nutrients when you're running around!

I used to be all about my multivitamins until I started focusing on whole foods. The truth is, if you're eating a balanced diet, you might not need them as much. Still, if you're in a situation where you can't eat well or have specific deficiencies, they can be beneficial.

There's a lot of debate on this topic, but the meta-analysis isn't saying multivitamins are 'useless' outright. For example, they can still help certain groups like the elderly or pregnant women. Just keep in mind, they shouldn't replace a healthy diet. Facts.

Ngl, I think a lot of the hate on multivitamins is overblown. If you're consistent with your diet, cool, but some of us just need that extra boost. Plus, some multivitamins have specific nutrients that can really help with recovery and performance. Just do your research on what you're taking.

I'm in the same boat, juggling work and family. I've found that instead of relying solely on multivitamins, planning meals helps more. You could also try tracking your food intake for a week to see if you're missing anything important. It's a bit of work, but it pays off.

If u're not a super picky eater and eat a variety of foods, you might not need them. But if you're like me and hate vegetables, they can help fill some gaps. Just don't rely on them as a crutch. That said, I still have a bottle just in case, lmao.
